Need help staying motivated...

I hate to say it but my level of motivation has decreased greatly here in the past few months. I have worked out less and less, and i find myself sitting on my ass doing nothing except surfing the web. What a waste. I could be doing any number of things but instead I choose the least health beneficial one, and do it instead. I workout in unknown intervals skipping sometimes up to 4 days. I need some help bad. I hate this, everyday, i tell myself I am going to work out, but I end up not doing it. It's killing my strength levels skipping these days. Someone please give me some advice on how to stay motivated.
It's not that i don't want to workout, i love the burn, i just can't get it in me to get started.
all serious help is appreciated.
 
whenever I feel like I'm burning out, I take a week or two off and just do whatever the hell I want (which for me is usually just sleep a lot).
then by the end of that I'm going nuts and want to get back in the gym.
and when I go back to the gym, I use a different workout than what I did before and run until I start to either burnout or see plateus - I used to change every 4 weeks, but that didn't give me enough time to see what things were really working.

also, great motivation is getting laid, or the lack thereof combined with the desire to.
or checking out pics of people that have bodies like what you would like.

I know what you mean though, it seems to snowball - it feels so much nicer to just hang out instead.

also - when I was in track and xc, the coach would say if you really didn't feel like running, go out for at least 5 mins, and if you still felt bad, then stop and head home. but 90% of the time, you would feel great once out there... so perhaps there is something similar in the gym...

or get a workout partner that has similar goals as you and is at your level...
 
Just remember that every breath of air u take, and every day that u pass, u are just getting that second or day closer to death.

When it's your time to go, u dont want to look back on your short life and see it was all a waste or in vain. Especially after 9/11/01 u should realize that life is too short to waste on the internet.

Make use of every second of your day, not just working out, but enhance your life spiritually and mentally. Remember, when u die, the only thing that u will take to the grave are the good deeds u did in this life, so internet and petty shit will not matter

Hope i helpled motivating u, I look at life this way, snd it helps me be a better person.

sorry i just realize that this thread was about motivation in working out.

Yeah, jsut get a workout partner and take a picture of your fat ass and look at it everyday when u feel lazy.
That helps when I am trying to lean down in the summer.

seriuosly pig out for whole weekend eating junk and shit come monday youwill feel so fucking guilty you will be extra motivated for a real long time.:D
