need help please with an animation gif.

I have a smooth gif that was originally 117KB and about 149X91 pixels. I cropped it to 100 X 61, but the file size is still I think 48KB. I need to get it down to a max of 20KB to use as an EF av.

Does anyone know what function I need to use to reduce the filesize? Would slowing down the animation work? If not, what else?

:):)

why? am I missing something? stop calling me stupid!

my man, you have lost your name calling rights until the end of the year.

she named the gif "puke"...she was commenting on Brittany. There never was a gif.

I saw the "puke" and just figured it was a pic of her with vomit on her or something (photoshopped). It wasn't that bad, maing.

you need to reduce colors or the number of frames in the animation

there arent a lot of colors to start with so I dont think I want to do that. Now about the frames, if I slowed it down would that help or is my only option to actually reduce the number of them?

I might have to JB. I think you know already I like to do things for myself if at all possible so I'll give it my best shot first. thanks for the help. :):)

are the frames photographs or drawings? I can't get more than 3 photographs into an animation and stay under 20K. Slowing it down won't help. You need to reduce the number of pictures or decrease the size of each one.

stills from a movie. I think there's about 12 shots in the sequence. And I was wrong it's still 58KB so I guess I need to pull out 2/3 of them to get it to the right file size. this sucks. by the time I get it to the right file size it wont be worth using.

You'd have to shrink it to 1/2 inch to get all those in.
