Need Help: How to clear 'My Recent Documents' in windows start/task bar.

Windows (XP) has a link on the start menu/task bar 'My Recent Documents' that shows the recents files you have opened.
I don't want anyone else to find which files I had recently used.
I read somewhere that there is a way to clear that up, or remove that link from start menu.

Could anyone please let me know how to remove that link from the start options? I would highly appreciate any help.

One option is to right click on the document when it displays on that start up tab, the select "delete".
That's what I do, one at a time. You can't select them all by using the SHIFT key. It takes a while, especially if I've been looking at a bunch of short porn clips.

Right click on the task bar at the bottom of the screen.

Select "Properties"

Choose the "Start Menu" page

Select "Customize" depending on which version of the start menu you're using.

"To remove records of recently accessed documents, programs, and Web sites, click Clear." Select "Clear"

Then "OK" and "OK" to close the boxes and you're done.

That is excellent.
You can also remove the link 'My Recent Documents' from start menu.
Right click 'start' > properties > 'start menu' page > customize > 'advanced' page > Uncheck the box 'List my most recently opened documents' at the bottom.
Click 'Apply' and then 'OK'
