Need help/advice on women's hormones

I need some help from some of you brilliant people out there. I am trying to get some opinions for my wife.

First, some history. She is a novice BB and carries a fair amout of muscle. She's used AS moderately for years. We have two children and after the second child was born she suffered from a huge bout of post-partum depression. She is now (after three years) still depressed and on meds for it. She is presently taking Effexor. We go to a physcologist three or four times a month. She has all of the symtoms of depression, moodiness, increased fat stores, no sex drive etc., ect.

Her physcologist swears by these natural progesterone replacement therapy creams. The one she uses is called Progeta-Care. It's a transdermal lotion that you apply to your skin. I know most of you guys don't care much for the natural, homeopathic cures, but I am impressed by some of the things that I have been reading on this stuff. The physc. told her that she had a 30 day saliva test done while using this cream and went of of it for four days and they immediately saw a decrease in the levels in the test results and her moods went all to hell.

So, I have two questions:
1. Have any of you heard of this stuff and has it worked for you or someone you know.

2. Here's the BIG question. She is presently on a very light cycle of 50mg Deca every 10 days and clen. If this stuff does increase progeterone levels, how does that interact with the increased testosterone levels in her body?

I am well versed with the psychological field and I can tell you why her psychologist is prescribing such shit............she is recieving a percentage of sales for the product. I have met people that participate in these stupid scams and find them to be EXTREMELY unprofesional. A psychologist is not allowed to prescribe any drugs EXCEPT herbal or natural remedies. As we all know, natural or herbal remedies are NOT tested nor are they consistant in regards to their contents.

You want my advice???? Advise your wife to get a new psychologist OR (Since most people find it hard to find someone they can connect with) stop buying those stupid creams.

You forgot to state the age of your wife. I personally know of someone who has had similar syptoms and tried with only negative effects to treat the problem with perscription drugs. Finally she went to a Chiropractic office and was pointed to a topical cream made by either Biotics Research Corp. or PhyoPharmica, not sure which. She also had a hair analysis done to check for mineral deficiencies, this was also done at the office.

I'd suggest either PM'ing warlobo or posting this question on the womens board. There's some great people on that board and I'd love to see you get the response you deserve.

Have you ever considered that it may be the gear causing the depression and not the PPDS?

Food for thought.

I am totally an amateur here, but from my reading doesn't deca basically make nandrolone, which is a hormone that women actually make when they are pregnant? If that's true, maybe it's not a good hormone for a woman who has a tendency to suffer from PPD? Anyhow, from what I've read on the board, too, doesn't Deca tend to make the most stable people into pretty moody bastards? You might consider getting her off the deca and, if that helps things and she still wants to cycle trying anavar instead?

But really, you might want to post this question on the women's board where you might get some more expert advice, cos I am definitely not an expert.

more information

For the info that I left out: She is 31 years old. Our youngest child is three. She never took AS while pregnant or trying to get pregnant. She did do one cycle of primo between baby #1 and baby #2. This is the second cycle since the 3 year old was born. The last cycle was Winny. She has the uncanny ability to lick the label out of a box of gear and put on 10 pounds of muscle. She has the arms of a pro. Maybe after she gets back in shape she'll let me post some pics.

The pysc. isn't pushing this cream, she just told her where to research it on the internet.

I am interested in your opinions, good and bad, on the cream, but more so in the potential problems from increased progeterone levels while on AS.
