Need hair advice

i wanan do my hair like this

what kinda gel/wax/etc... would work the best? been using paul mitchell hair glue and working nicely but when it gets longer that stuff doesn't work the same. what do u all think? also i have very thick hair, thanks!

Gel won't make that effect, you need a paste or a wax. What brand is totally up to you, and the texture you're going for. Some people have terrible hair to style with, so they'll use something STRONG (I mean, so strong that it literally takes 5 washes or more to get it out, and you only use it every so often) like DAX WAX to style the hair.

Me, I use a paste by CON-TEXT to style my hair. Holds it for the whole day, and it's easy to get out with a good shower and shampoo.

Also, remember, while a hair style may look good for one person, may not for another. Your face and facial structure really defines how ones hair will either help the looks of the person, or make it look bad.

Play around with your hair, grow it out about 3.5 inches throughout, then just get some paste and play around with it for an hour or so. Figure out what you can see working well, then once you have what you think will go good - goto a gay stylist and tell him the look you want. He can cut it, taper it, fade it, and cross hatch it to make it work well with you.

i basicly do my hair like that but it has a bit of a different look for me, his hair is a bit longer and my hair groups more, i think i need to style it when its a bit drier for that not so wet look.
