Need Bigger Arms

What would you recommend for good growth (roid cycle and frequency of excercise) ? My arms are ok, but i need them bigger. On my last two cycles i have put 1 inch onto them, but im finding them one of the most difficult muscles to develop (bi's and tri's)

Everyone responds differently to training. You say you gained an inch on your last cycle. Thats pretty good, by next cycle you may gain another inch.

You need to listen to your body more and see what feels best for your arms, what gets them sore the most. Experiment with a couple of different routines until you find one that suites you best.
Your asking the impossible question, only you can answer that one.

I know what your saying mate, but what i was wondering is how frequently should i work the biceps + triceps ? is once a week enough ?

personally, i find less volume and more frequency to deliver better gains.

programs like HST and DC's program where you are hitting the whole body 2-3 times a week, but aren't doing a lot of volume.

but i guess this is really kind of an individual thing.

if you are bombarding your arms when you workout, try backing off a bit on the volume, see what happens. overtraining will hinder gains.

Truth be told, I don't know if a bicep/tricep routine will REALLY help your arms grow to the size you want them... although, it won't hurt... here is what I would suggest.

1. Hit larger compound exercises such as barbell rows, squats, and deadlifts... these will not TARGET the biceps (rows might hit them harder) -- but they do give the body an overall pump that can definately make your body grow as a whole.

2. Get a band for your home use... everyday (except days before tri/bi workouts) do 3-4 sets of tricep pushdowns (hook the band on top of the door and push down) for about 25 reps ... get a nice pump and blood flow to the arm. You can also do the same for biceps (hooking the band under your foot) -- this will get blood flow into your arms and keep a good pump in them (without actually fatiguing them) all week. -- credit BFold for this tidbit.

3. When you DO hit arms, try to hit the heavy exercises... Close-grip bench press, Tate presses, JM's and French Curls -- for biceps, Barbell curls, Incline DB curls, and Preachers.

Give it some time, and eat enough food, and your arms will really grow.

In general, arms simply grow along with the rest of your body. It's arguable whether you even need to hit them directly.

I think once a week is a good enough amount, for me.

But then again I know some dudes that will hit arms 2 times a week (mon and fri), and this is the only muscle they do twice a week.

thanks for all the advise, took it easy this week, trained them on back day. Done 2 sets of 10 @ 110lb barbell curl and 2 sets of 10 dumbell preacher curl (45lb). I think in the past i have been overtraining them, doing anything upto 15 sets (after back excersises ). They feel good this week, will keep u posted on the progress !!

try seated barbell curls they are great for bis you can load a lot of weight for there is a smaller range of motion Tris-french curls own mass

its all about heavy compound exercises, no machines, these are what put the last few inches on my arms

standing barbell curls
incline dumbell curls
preacher curls

close grip bench
weighted dips
skull crushers

never more than 3 sets per exercise

hey i may not know anything about roids, but i want to help; i am doing barbell curls, preacher curls and close grip bench and skullcrushers. you proly already do those and prolly have alot more exp than me, but those are good exercises for arm growth.

I like doing pullups and incline curls for bicepts and skull-crushers to failure immediately followed by close-grip bench with the same weight to failure for tricepts. Other than occasionally doing preacher curls, these are the only exercises I use to target my arms (which have been growing pretty well recently).
