need advice on wheels and rims

what do you suggest for tires?
looking for a hybrid of offroading/pavement
but i drive around a lotta salt so they can't rust (rims)
how much will i need to spend?
Depending on what you go with...you can get away with spending much less if you want.
All comes down to what kind of tire you want to run, and how fancy of wheel you want.

Well...I wouldn't go with chrome if your driving on a lot of salt as it will corrode your rims. Polished aluminum will be a bitch to keep clean. What color is your truck? can you go with a powder coated wheel?
If your doing mostly highway driving I like the BF Goodrich Radial All Terrain. Nice tire, and it won't howl on you when your on the highway like other aggressive tires will.

I'd search online, you can find good deals on wheels and tires. Sometimes you can get free shipping from discount tire.
Depending on the size of tire you can fit under your ranger will depend on the cost. Your best bet is to run down to your local tire store and ask them what would fit, but not rub.
Figure around 800 for tires, and 640 for wheels (18"). You can go smaller and save a lil money if i'm wrong and you cant fit an 18 under there.

what's wrong with putting wheels on his truck? I never own a car and not dress it up with some new wheels. Give's it a touch of personality, and really sets it off.
i need new rims, my originals are starting to look terrible...all the michigan salt has fuct them up.
and my tires are balding, so the time is right.
might as well upgrade, what's wrong with that?
plus, it will add a few inches clearance, which i need for the offroading i'm required to do
