Need advice low T :-(

Raylor

New member
40 years old, 5'8" 195LBs. Work out with heavy weights 3 x week.
About 5 yrs ago I made the stupid mistake of taking X-Mass by generic labs. It's a pro hormone. At that time I had no clue what it was!! Within 3 weeks I got to 213LBs and was looking huge. I came off it and did no PCT. For the next year I totally lost my libido, it slowly came back but never ever close to what it used to be prior to X-mass.
About 3 years ago I started taking Crestor. After 3 yrs of feeling like crap I decided to get a hormone test and you guessed it, levels came back around 180, after many re-tests levels are constantly around 180 - 200. I tried Clomid by itself for over a year, the only thing it would do was make me more buff, no change in libido even though my levels got to 400 or so. I finally got hold of the Scally protocol of Clomid/hCG and tamoxifen. My levels on HCG were around 800, felt great, gained size and libido was much better but I became a bit irritable. At this time also decided to quit taking crestor. After the protocol tested myself after about 2 months and levels came back at 500 and i thought damn I've been cured. Lost a lot of my gut, lost a few pounds gained some more muscle and even got some libido back (although not as good as 5 years back). Even lost my man boobs which slowly crept up on me over the last few years!!

Got tested again last week and levels are back to freaking 200!!! Help!!

My gut feeling about the whole situation is that X-Mass caused my initial T level drop because of no PCT, and secondly Crestor f'd me up and stopped my T levels from increasing while giving me a gut and man boobs, but why I still have low T now I don't know especially in light of my recent symptoms of gaining muscle and losing fat..

I am seriously considering testopel implants, but really feel worried about getting into a life long thing.

Right now I feel fine, not bad libido but not great either wife is not too happy. In the gym I'm ok in terms of strength, bench is around 275 but recovery is pretty dismal, sometime if I push it, It will take me 2 - 3 weeks to recover!

Any advice is much appreciated and sorry for such a long post..

You are going to get a bunch of recommendations that you need TRT, but you might want to try some natural test booster supps first. I was skeptical about them but they actually have some positive effects. I know what you are saying about not wanting to get into a life long thing.

This here bro...and RR is right that the other tests will help as well know what might be going on.

Ok, here is real life results...last year at this time (July 2011) my testosterone levels were in the range of 300-400...which wasn't too bad for this 42 year old guy, but would rather have much higher.

The year before...sometime in 2010...my levels were actually 239...not good by any means!!!

I just had my blood work done Thursday, and my doctor called me yesterday and wanted to talk to me prior to the weekend...I thought not good news.

He is a little bewildered...asked if I was taking any injectable testosterone, anything...because my test levels have doubled!!! That is right...DOUBLED!!!

Current level...742 ng/dL (total testosterone levels!) Although my LH is on the high side...17.7, but my doctor said I show no other signs of testicular problems and that the herbal supplements I am taking are pretty potent lol. He actually said to back off of them a bit.

I have not cycled since 2007, and am actually planning a cycle here at the end of this month to start getting ready to compete again next year...so wanted to have my blood work done prior to.

The supplements I have been taking are:

HCGenerate (actually stopped after 3 straight bottles about 10 days ago to take the recommended break from it...no more than 12 consecutive weeks use)

Unleashed...use this all the time 3-4 caps prior to hitting the pillow, and use for bedtime activities as it really packs the punch that my wife likes.

Bridge...been using religiously for months, ever since my SARMs cycle...love the stuff and no need to cycle off of it IMO...but will obviously stop as of the beginning of my cycle.

DAA...just started this up the beginning of this week to try and boost my test levels up prior to starting my cycle so I go into it full and strong...but DAA usually takes a good 10-14 days to take effect...so don't think this had an impact yet.

Need2Slin...religiously take as a staple supplement...has been shown to help increase testosterone levels, but use it as a nutrient partitioner.

Also other staple supplements I take are usual multi vitamin (Ruthless 3D), Krill, Fish Oil and Omega Blend (Flaxseed, Safflower, and Olive), Creatine Nitrate, Vitamin C, E, and B12, have been using Anabeta off and on...and that is pretty much it. Yeah seems like a lot of stuff, but it seems to be working.

Take in consideration as well...I do not drink alcohol, do not smoke, I eat a very clean and healthy diet cosisting mostly of plant based foods and carbohydrates, and lean meats...no junk or processed foods!

It is a lifestyle change to make if you want to try and raise your levels naturally...and works if you are diligent with it and stick to it...you can make it happen for you bro!!!

So for the first time I was able to have my body composition tested by being dunked in a tank! No, more like a bathtub with a big scale in it. Really cool and the most acurate way to be tested...blows calipers away!

So I thought I was going to be in the low teens...I was pleasantly surprised!

My results:

Age: 41
Wt: 221.2 lbs
Ht: 73.5" (6'1 1/2")
Resting Pulse: 60 BPM
Water Weight: 9430 grams
LBM: 200.42 lbs
LBM %: 90.6
FBM: 20.78 lbs
FBM %: 9.4

9.4% not bad for this old timer lol!!!

Obviously will be running a few cycles before next years competition to put some size on some lagging areas, but will be able to keep my bodyfat down with a clean calorie dense diet, training hard, and goal is to come in a 2% bodyfat...220-225 lbs. That equates to about 16-21 lbs of muscle over the course of the next year.

Had my blood work done as well this week...my testosterone levels are at 742...so my supplementation, diet, training, overall lifestyle is working beautifully!!!

It is about lifestyle, and making the changes to adapt.

Took dee wordz out my mouth!! Great job man!! Sooooo proud of you!

I think over all lifestyle is the main key. We eat all this shit when we're young and stay leean, strong, and feelin good as we get older it cathes up.

Like a new car floor it, ram on it, abuse it not to bad its great for the years but what happens as the build up in the motor get more grimey? Starts to slowly break down, get slower, problem after problem it seems. Same with our body years of abuse it gets clogged and slows down plus at 30 shit turns backwards. That dont help the process but it is then when we say oh shit look at me?! Plus you may not be feeling good either an just now your trying to reverse the process. Takes time and HARD work

Its good to see some real numbers for T boosting from natural supps. Damn good results. Thanks for the info!

Muscleaddiction: great info man, thanks so much will definitely give some of those supplements a shot and great job with your own T levels!!

Will post fresh labs next time I get them done..

It is like anything and people react differently to supplements. Those were my results, and those are/were the supplements I have been taking for sometime now, so whatever you decide to try, need to give it time to do its thing. It may be a combo of things, but this is what I use and will continue to do so as long as FDA doesn't take it away because it works...BiG pharma doesn't want that.

Can you post what time of day you take each supplement, and the quantities of each?

I'm glad to see that this route is working for you rather than opting for TRT.

Damn...been busy bro??? I am currently on a cycle, but as far as the supplements I was taking off cycle I will list it up for you and PM you when I get a chance.
