Need advice....Help?

It seems that no matter what during a cycle something always happens to throw things off but this time was a little worse. Last week while working in the bar we had some problems with some Mexicans here working for hurricane Katrina and I went to throw them out and all hell broke loose. Well anyway one of them stabbed me in the stomach and I spent 3 nights in the hospital. It was only about a inch cutt but then they had to cutt me open more to see if any organs were hit. I was lucky that nothing was hit but now I have about a 3-4 inch hole in my stomach that has gause stuck in it and everyday I have to clean it out and stick gause all the way up in it! It hurts like hell every damn time!!!

So this is my question I really don't want to quit my cycle like this but I know I can't go heavy or do a whole lot so would it be worth it to go light and cables and really hit the cardio? I mean when I asked the Doctor he said no lifting for at least 3 weeks but fuck that! I mean it's not like I'm going to ripp my stitches out since I don't have any and only have a hole in my stomach!! I know this might seem dumb to some of you but I worked my ass off for the last 6 weeks!!
 
Sorry to hear about your injury.

I'd probably mind the doctors advice, though. It's probably not the stitches that are likely to give you a problem. I assume when you say "stomach" you're talking about your abdominal region. Therefore, I assume that your abdominal muscles also sustained a puncture wound that left a hole. . .kind of like a hernia. So, when they fixed it, they probably used some screen material and it takes a few weeks for the muscle tissue to really heal fast to the screen so that it doesn't come apart again.

If you hit it hard before it's healed, you could blow the damn thing apart and they'll have to cut your ass back open again and you'll be another three weeks (or more) to heal.

Keep it light for a few weeks. It won't kill you. If you have a good base already, you'll bounce right back when they take you off your leash.
 
Sorry to hear that bro. I would come off and wait until you're better to start up. If you can't train hard, then you're wasting your time.
 
Damn I knew that was what I would hear to come off because that would be what I would say but I just don't won't too!

As for my stomach I don't have stitches or anything closing it because they want it to heal on it's own and also so it can be cleaned everyday. I know I thought that was pretty weird for me to go home with a hole in my stomach with gause stuffed in it. Then twice a day I have to pull all the gause out and clean it then put new gause in it. This hurts like hell so I take a percocet right before and one right after!

I'm thinking about staying on at least another week just in case I feel good enough to get back in the gym at a good rate. I mean this part of my cycle was really the leaning end so Im thinking that even if I can go light and really push the cardio I can still get some nice results!
 
WOW...that really sux. I would come off and heal right then hit it hard. Keep us posted on your healing process though.

I'll be thinking the good thoughts for you.

yeah bro, i know how much it suck to not be able to train when on cycle. but please do this for yourself. take the time off. its three weeks. if you do any more damage by working out or cardio, it will take more than 3 weeks and then you'll really compromise your training. so just take the time off and when everything is healed, hit the weights. trust me you'll be happy you did.

Sorry bro I'm the most impatient MF you will ever know! I also think I'm Superman most of the time. I knew this would be the answer I would get but I had to give it a shot! Damn I put to much sweat, hours, and money into this for this shit to happen!! Hurricane Katrina sure did bring some nice people to LA to help us but lately it seems like we are getting allot more dirty crooks from Mexico and other states trying to get rich! Thanks bro's... If anyone has any other advice let me know.
 
IMHO, if you want to stay on, then STAY ON. What the heck's it going to hurt? Just don't do ANYTHING heavy until the doc says so. . .you don't want to do a heavy squat only to stand up and find your guts laying on the floor.
 
yeah those little mexican dudes like to fight when they get drunk and they all carry stabbing weapons.

the worst is when they take those big belts that they wear off and start swinging them at you.

Thats the crazy part it was suppose to be are slow night Tuesday so we only had two bouncers there and maybe 30 people. There was 5-6 of them and after I got cutt they ran outside and took off and somebody got their license plate which was a Texas plate but to this day they still haven't been caught! I can't see how they haven't caught them yet but they said the plate was stolen and on wrong vehicle. I told the cops if they catch him please just put me in the cell with him for 10 minutes!!
 
Outlaw and Indy where ya at? The two people I really respect the most! Can I just go light weight and cardio and stay at 250mgs of test a WK for 2-3 weeks and then jump back into cycle at full amount?

HELL NO! No cardio, that gets the heart pumping you want something to rupture and start bleeding internally?
Be sensible about this ......stop being foolhardy & hard headed ,stop the cycle and wait until you're back 100% muscle memory will put you back in the game in no time!

wow, I thought I was stubborn... I guy after my own heart! Seriously though, lay off until... umm...until there's no more hole in your stomach.... ouch, it hurts just saying it! better to take a small amount of time-off now and recover fully than to injure yourself more and take 2-3 times longer to heal!

OK I get the point it's just hard after taking 5 years off and just really getting back into it to have this happen! Since my separation from my wife and not seeing my daughters everyday this gave me the confidence and drive to move on! I'm just really down and depressed about the thought of not having the gym in my life right now during the worst time of the year the holidays!! Thanks Radar and everyone else looking out for my best interest!
 
bro i had to have surgery on my gallbladder mid cycle, it is a minor scope surgery with 3 5mm holes and they suck it out. your in and out in a night. you arent allowed to lift for a good 3-4 weeks. even if you get your ears tucked you have to stay out of the gym for a few. intense workouts strain everything on the body. in your case its similar to my galllbladder recovery. there is a hole in your stomach. if you stress it too much you will get a hernia. your intestine will come through the hole and then you are out of the gym for a good 6 months. furthermore hernia will keep coming back for someone who is stressing their body with juiced up workouts. wait until they clear you, it might be earlier then they said depending on how you heal. i used to go in there every week and ask if i could lift yet and i ended up being able to a week early because i had healed fast. love that deca that was still in my system

Well Bruce you just scared me enough not to lift for at least 3 weeks!! Shit you sound like my Doctor!!

I hear ya, I should have had a gun! I'm just getting to old for this I've been shot once and stabbed twice so it may be time to retire and kick back on the porch in my rocking chair!

I agree with mak. I can relate to not being able to work out due to injury (allthough yours is very serious compared to mine) but it is better safe than sorry on this one. You got stabbed man, rest and do it the right way. Good luck bro.
