Need a new back workout

Here is what I am doing

DL 5*5 (keeping this as I just added it recently)
Wide grip pull ups 3 sets
Close rev grip (palms facing me) 3 sets
Rev Hammmer row (like chainsaws but hammer strength) 3 sets
Seated Cable Row 2 sets

We have a Nautilus Pull over machine but I always thought those things were garbage but recently I have been reading alot of good things. I try and stay away from things I can cheat on.

i never understood how someone uses the 5x5 on deads, that is fucking rough. I feel i get much more out of them doing one or two all out sets. Bent over rows fit nicely into any back routine. This was my back routine for a while

deads 2x3-5
close grip pulldowns 3x 6-12
bent rows 3x 6-10
close grip pulley rows 3x10-15

i rarely do them. It's just something i have never focused on.

I just knew that is where we had a discussion about different back routines. I think many of us do the same exercises just in various orders.

Thats exactly it..there were many many simularities. I can't do bent over rows because I end of cheating because I hate high reps so then I use more weight and then I get horrible form after 4-5 reps. I'm doing back tonight so I was looking to tweak the workout.

if you cant do bend overs without proper form, then why not try t-bar or something else.
I stay relatively light on both close and wide grip barbell rows, i top out at 225. If i go much higher than that, my form goes to shit. Plus i do sets of 10, so that probably plays a role in me not going any higher.
There isnt a good setup for t-bar at my main gym so i rarely do them, but when i do, i really like the pull.

I agree...T-bar rows are the shit. If you don't have a stationary T-bar, you can always set it up old school, with the Bb in the corner of the gym and the triangle pulley attachment (just make sure the gym is cool with this before hand). I like this exercise a lot...you get a really good pull!

lol, a lot of excess of energy though. If i were a bigger fan of them, i would probably do them more. Plus it has only been the past 2 years have i focused on back at all. Many years of neglect before that.

for a long time I stressed bi's tri's and chest and neglected everything else. Last5 year I focused on getting my shoulders and traps up to speed with great success and this year it was my back. My back has much more width but now I need the thickness and middle back size so you can see it through my shirt (i got nothing right now).
