NCAA is great, I don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you need to play at an easier level???
Seriously, though. There are a few things I wish were different - controller set-up, reverse play at line, shift zones left/right at line, and maybe a couple of other little things, but other than that the game is pretty damn good.

One of the things that is truly captured in NCAA is the feel of the college game. I'm not sure if you have ever gone to a college football game, (which one you went to could matter as well) but there is a lot of pageantry and excitement that are involved. it is this dynamic, coupled with many others (including every game counts!!!) that makes a lot of football lovers choose college over pros as their favorite.
I went to Penn State and I can tell you that 108,000 screaming college fans is unriveled (except for by 110,000 at Michigan - damn BIG BLUE).
Anyways, I feel the game captures a lot of the feeling in its little nuances.
You can switch plays at the line and also reverse your zones at the line. Audible then R2. You can also switch the direction of a running play w/out switching the whole play. Hot route then left or right
no, it's easy enough on the all pro level... i just got madden and it is just as bad... it's just not a "pretty game" as far as graphics go... and the physics are AWFUL... what ball bounces like that? last i checked the gas used to inflate a ball wasnt super bouncy helium...
nfl 2k5 your backs can shoulder plow people and if you are hit low, you REACT LIKE IT!!! the tackles are pathetic on madden/ncaa... same old game man... open up and stop doing the "EA SPORTS RULES" thing... just try it out and compare... thats what i did this year... and i should have saved my 60 bucks on madden...
