anyone in the navy reserves? i have been in for 5 months now. i go to boot camp the end of november.

I am in the USMC reserves and I am about to get out. as far as the reserves goes, it can suck, but it can also be a tool for you. once you go in, go to as many schools as you can (courtesy of the USN). being in the reserves can tie you down, you will miss a lot of good weekends, meaning when you show up for drill on a weekend, there will always be something on that day/weekend that you want to attend to and will miss out on. just my speaking from experience. if I could do it agian, I owuld have gone active duty, and have taken class/es during work at night. still doable. and since you will be active, you have a set have a set schedule, instead of trying to plan your weekends because of your drill (weekend that you work) schedule/forecast. hope this helps.
