Is there any truth to natural honey (made by bee keepers the old fashioned way) being better for you than the stuff you buy at the store (processed)?

I'm told natural honey will build up immunity to allergies..anyone know anything about this? It certainly TASTES better, thats for sure.

You MUST get the honey from a local hive to build up your immunity sytem to allergies. It only makes sense since you become allergic to things in the air in your community, so you need to build up your resistance to those local " hay fever's, etc".

My husband has been on the honey "cure" for over two years now. He's done fab with the results too. He takes 1 heaping tablespoon per day.

It's a shame we are loosing all our honey bees. I guess no one is taking an interest in this either. Global Warming is taking the front seat.

Vixen : I think you are right...the honey I've been getting is from a hive in Valley Station, about 30 miles from where I live. It's a mom and pop kind of thing, but putting it in my coffee every morning seems to be helping.

last month, i was at Lakeside Mall, i was in a stall and some MF goes into the one next to me. i try to not pay attention to what other people do in bathroom stalls and shit, but this dude fucking kneels down on the dirty ass floor and starts making gaggy pukish sounds. this totally psychs me out and i can't continue with my bizness. i get up and lean over to pull up my drawers and my fucking cell falls out of my pocket and lands in his side of the floor. MF'er@!!!! so i make a few strained attempts at reaching it and finally he swats it back over to my side, like an expensive fucking hockey puck.....tell me i didn't get the equivalent to a flu shot?

they better start. . .bees are responsible for about 75% of pollination. . .no pollination. . .no fruit and veggies :worried:

I have heard this same thing - I am trying something - well the wife and I are - she is pregnant and we are eating honey from a local hive. Hoping that it helps the baby.

You can buy Raw honey from the store..
It can have botulism spores in it though, so don't give it to babies or fat husbands..

population took a major dip because of certain parasites/mites....like digi said...no bees means decrease in fruits and veggies
