something which you said has been bugging me. you said that you dont let your bf get up to a certain %. well im assuming that you dont bulk at all, as this would get your bf% higher than what you would want. if this is true, then do you think its possible to build muscle w/o getting fat? i remember reading an article of john romano saying that it is possible to lose bf while gaining muscle mass, regardless of what everyone else thinkgs.
 
Nathan has multiple personalities. One of them is a skinny kid weighing 105 @ 6% and he doesn't want to reach 8%.

I have actually seen Nathan and he is close to 30% bf and has man-breasts which he displays proudly.

Yeah, I love that thing. I cannot remember where I even got it from. It was a link to a site that had stuff like that which you could install and run on the computer's main screen.

to answer the question I would think that not letting your bodyfat get above 12% on a bulker would be the best bet- then you wont have to spend a century trying to get it back down. I went from 8% to 13% and am still trying to get back to 8%.

Anyway, to answer the question, I TRY not to go much above 10% is what I usually say. It certainly is possible. The way I usually structure my cycles are as follows. I start by bulking and gain some size. I always immediately gain about 10lbs of water and muscle so I don't always look relatively lean unfortunately. Oncce I'm noticing there is some fat gain I usually freak out to be honest and end up dieting for 2-3 weeks. That pretty much always brings my waist back down but I'm always still up in size. I'm an obsessive compulsive so I do always eat clean and haven't cheated in years. I measure my waist every couple of days as well to check. Actually with my last two cycles at the end (once an inch of water came of the waist) my waist size had gone down but my weight was up. I'm hoping for the same thing this time and am trying to avoid panicking and going right into a diet. My waist is already about 1.5" which I'm hoping is all water but I won't know until I stop. i lowered my calories anyways to see ifmy wweight still goes up without the waist going up in kind. It's kinda a balance and is very frustrating. If my weight isn't going up I panic but if my waist is going up I also panic. I guess panicking is my trick. Maybe I just got lucky the last few cycles. Hoping for it to continue though. Oh, I'm also using T3 @ 12.5-17mcg daily.
 
Oh and I forgot to add that I have gained muscle while losing bf, and so have many others. I was usinf fina though. I dropped carbs and my weight dropped only slightly and throughout dieting my weight stayed the same and then when I increased carbs again my weight jumped back up to a bit over what it was to begin with but my waist was down over an inch and I looked much leaner. It is totally possible with the right help.

C'mon. The guy asked a serious question and because my name is on it that means it's time to mock Nathan? Sorry guys but that shit don't fly with me. It's one thing to turn all my threads into retarded wastes of space cause I'm not much better with yours but I was trying to answer seriously. I don't know what it is about me but even in the real world I always have these types of relationships with people and it's fun but not when it's pissing other people off. I apologize to DepressiveJuice. Sorry bro. hope my answer at least might have explained what I meant somewhat.

Ok, a serious response JUST for Nathan so he doesn't start crying.

I believe that you CAN gain muscle while losing fat BUT it's MUCH more difficult than if you just focused on a pure bulking cycle or cutting cycle. The key is eat a lot but eat clean. Don't pig out on junk food and make sure to take Anastrazole, Femara or Aromasin while taking test. This will keep your fat storage down and you should be able to pack on muscle w/o gaining fat.
I did a typical bulking cycle using sust/dbol/decca and I didn't gain any fat during the cycle, I also used 1mg/ED of Liquidex.
 
Damn, sorry you got pissed bro. I know there's a lot of goofing-off/joking on this board but we all still manage to answer questions and help each other out.

This board would be dull with nothing but Q & A's. A little humor always makes it more enjoyable as long as it's within reason. (I know you know that).

That' snot what I meant bro. I ENJOY the mockery. Fuck, I usually start it. But I feel bad when it ruins people's posts. It happens a fair bit. I'll mock someone then they'll push back and you can't leave it at the so I bite back in kind, etc., etrc. and someone's thread is ruined. If it's a dumb thread then they deserve it and if the question has been sufficiently answered then who cares right? I don't know. You can't really put much stock in anything I say since by tomorrow I'll be back to not being able to say anything normal. Damn mood disorder. So don't feel bad or anything cause it is my fault. I was just trying to rectify it.
