Nascar fans..............

I saw a commercial over the weekend talking about a 24hr race..........is this correct?
Geesh I hope not....for me, Nascar is about exciting as watching paint dry. The races and the season are just way to long. I can handle like the last hour and even have my favorites but a 24hr race????

lol, I have my favourite paint to watch drying too ;)

LOL!

I'm not sure, but 24 hours? Holy Cow. I do have to admit that I'm a sucker for Steve Park and now that Ricky Rudd is coming back...hot damn! :p

The 24 hours of daytona uses mutliple drivers in the car. And KB is right, it's not a NASCAR event. You see NASCAR, IRL and independent drivers vying for the win.

I could of swore it was Nascar!
either way wouldn't they have to have breaks or something, what if you have to tee tee? lol

they piss and shit their pants as it is

No,

It's the 24 hours of Daytona, sports cars - in the past maybe 1-2 good road course drivers have participated, however in more recent years since many of the marquis owners have gotten involved, it has drawn more of the talented drivers who are good on road courses.

If you are a Nascar fan, this will bore you immensely, personally I can watch the whole 24 hours since I am into more of the engineering aspects. It's interesting however.

If you want some real fun, go to Sebring in March.

Here is everything you need to know about the cars and the drivers.

I guess I assumed Nascar since they showed Tony Johnson and Jeff Gordon.

24 hours though.........geesh! My b/f just started watching Nascar about 2 years ago and I told him that should of been something he should of disclosed BEFORE we started dating! lol We do have tv's in the other bedrooms but the big screen is in the living room!!! damnit! I only get like a 2 month break from the torture!!!

NASCAR is kind of like Baseball in a way.
Baseball can be boring to actually watch with brief stints of excitement.
But also you can get into the stats or the strategy of the pitchers or others.

It's not just about whats going on out on the track that is the main draw.

Its all the little technical, strategic or small things going on out there and behind
the scenes that make in interesting to watch when the race begins.

Seeing the changes made to the cars in the pits and then watching how good or bad it drives afterwards. Seeing the groups of cars working together and leaving another one alone to lose 4-6 places on the track.

But nothing will make you more interested in the sport than standing next the the straightway fence, as the cars roar past you at 200 MPH.

I take it your a Nascar fan then?
Now I will admit that I tell b/f all the time to take me to a race. I love going to the local drag strips and dirt tracks but that is way different of course. I love the sounds and smells of the track...weird I know. So I know I would have a blast being there. To just watch them going in circle after circle on the screen...blah, boring. I have trouble just sitting still that long.

That's what I like about going to the dirt tracks....but of course only when no one gets hurt.

i enjoy the 3/4 midgets racing on the dirt tracks. the sliding and drifting is fun to watch plus the races are not that long.
Every summer I go to the World's Fastest Half Mile Dirt Track, located in Belleville Kansas.

Do you know when? That sounds like fun. The local one here has races almost every Friday night. I have seen them race buses! The only bad thing is your skin feels covered in dust when you leave.
What fun!
