other than what I mentioned above, i dont know what causes nagging. I do know that I have no reason or desire to nag my current husband. there is just no use or need for it. if i need something and i ask him to do it (i dont ask for much) he does it. no big deal. if he doesnt get to it right away, he tells me when he plans on doing it (fine by me, as long as it gets done). he's a competent individual and we care enough about each other to help each other out when needed.

But an awful lot of relationships lack the exact qualities you brought up. How many younger couples do you know/have you met who are together just because of the kids or finances? Even worse, ever meet one of those really old couples who do nothing but bitch at and about each other but stay together because where else will they go?
