Just started reading the book. My mother had it and finished it so I decided to see if it's any good.

I didnt get to far but it seems like a great book already. I know they made a movie based on the book so I guess I'll read it than watch it.

So far it's very interesting. I'm only in about 100 pages and lots of stuff is happening already.

And Clint Eastwood directed the movie he's not in it

i saw this movie tonight and really enjoyed it. it is definitely an adult movie with a complex plot and complicated characters. the acting was really good.

guys might enjoy this movie more than women since it is told from a man's point of view. it is about three boyhood friends that had drifted apart and lives interacted later in life after one of their daughters (sean penn's) was murdered. as adults they interacted in a much more complicated and uncomfortable manner.

i usually don't like sean penn but he was really good in this. tim robbins plays a total sadsack and you really feel sorry for him. lawrence fishburne is in it and he has put on so much weight he was almost unrecognizable.

Yeah I'll give you that. I think I was in an annoyed mood when I posted that.

The movie was good, it was just a tad slow at times. The ending was killer though.
