Yah, I totally agree they should be cleaning up after themselves.


A few weeks before my 11th b-day my mother snapped, pointed me in to the direction of the washer dryer in basement and told me to do my own laundry or walk around naked. I know I was vacuuming, dusting and cleaning my own bedroom and bath prior to that and if it wasn't up to my mother's standards she would put everything out the closets, draws, bookcases and tell me to start over. *shutter* Mommie Dearest flashback

Don't get me wrong if my wife had a job that made money I wouldn't be so pissed about this but yesterday she insisted she wanted to hire a maid. And I said babe your job is being the maid and then we got in a big fight about my motorycles and stuff. I said I make money which I choose to spend on my motorcycles. If you made money you could choose to spend it on a maid. But since you don't, it is your job 8to5 to do the housework. AM I wrong?

you are absolutely 100% right. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THIS. if she's not working (and you didnt' mention kids) there is NO reason she shouldn't have the house cleaned up, clothes washed, dishes washed and food on the table when you come home. PERIOD.

sounds like shes just being a lazy ass and you need to set her straight.
for the record, if the girl was the one working and the guy was sitting at home i'd say the same thing about the guy.
