My weight loss log

It's not much to read I am sure... but knowing it's here will keep me going. Not only is this a weight loss log... but my eating healthy will help me fight my long battle with ED, and that is more important to me.

Yesterday for dinner instead of ordering out, getting subway or snacking at the vending machine which is common for me when I work nights I bought the microwavable steamed bags... added 1 1/2C cauliflower, 3oz cooked/sliced cold chicken, 1/4c bean sprouts with salt/pepper (no garlic at work, LOL)... steamed for 4 minutes and ate for dinner. I curbed my evening snack with 1c watermelon when I got home. I drank a cup of coffee at work which I wish I hadn't done since I didn't fall asleep until 3am :( I had water, NO crystal light or diet soda.

Today I had a cup of AM coffee. Egg whites w/ a spinach pancake, thus far... when I get to work I will have a cup of fresh cherry tomatoes, dinner will be the same as yesterday. I bring raw veggies to work and keep them there for any cravings, hunger strikes.

30 min of cardio thus far...

Tomorrow I want to start doing pilates at home with light weights and hopefully some medicine ball work along with my cardio.
 
Why no crystal light or diet soda?

For curbing cravings i love sugar free freezer pops, the ones i get are 2.5cal a piece and a godsend whenever i get cravings

You're getting into a story half way through the book, although I appreciate your interest. :) Thandie is helping me out!

Remember: this is the hard part. The very start. If you fall down, just get back up and keep going. This is an ongoing process. You don't fail if you have a bad day. You just plan on a better day the next.:rose:
Just curious: what are you doing for cardio? Did you say treadmill or something like that? Sorry, I have no attention span. Anyway, you might want to look into HIIT. Twice the workout in half the time. It's great for weight loss and turning up the calorie burn.
Keep us updated and it sounds like you are off to a great start!

Thandie IS a big help and listen to everything shesays. My energy has doubled since I quit on the coffee.
 
I used to do HIIT But I need to build myself back up to it. I started to try it yesterday but I was so winded that I had to stop.

I am SO MAD... I must have pulled a muscle in my neck/back while I slept last night. I can't even move right now, I can't even breath without being in pain. :( And I still have to work a 10 hr shift today. I took a muscle relaxer and something for pain but I really wanted to get my cardio off on a good foot....
 
Thank you phat1 for the tip, I do have a hot bean pack, should I alternate or no? About 2 years ago I had alot of problems with my neck... it would go into a spasm every 3 weeks and I ended up in physical therapy which was horrible for me. I had a couple of MRIs done and I have slipped disks, bulging disks and a place where my spine twisted causing a hole in my spine (???) ... but their placement shouldn't have caused the spasms... the spasms were pinching nerves causing pain down my arm... and over a few months I started to lose feeling in my right one. I keep thinking if I start going to a chiropracter I can avoid "all of it" by keeping everything in line.

I'm a hot mess, LOL. I'm going to go ice it now.
 
Well it's transformed into a medical issues thread until I get better, LOL.

I iced it on/off about 4x today at work. Then I broke down and bought hot/ice gel.... didn't help with the pain but it made it nice and tingly which felt better then the pain. My neck is at a permanent 45 degrees front angle now. Just popped another darvocet and muscle relaxer.... here's hoping for tomorrow. Had a chicken wrap for lunch (bad, I know... but I hadn't eaten in 14 hrs and needed something on my way to work).... 1/2c fresh cherry tomatoes and then grilled chicken with cauliflower for dinner. I couldn't get anything else in, I am just so groggy. Only 32oz of water too.... yesterday I had about 10 cups though, so that was good.

Ooh, that sucks! I hope it gets better and you wont have to stay away from training long.
 
I slept 6 hours, took some more pain meds and slept another 5 hours. Now I am groggy and hungry again. Wont be able to work out but it DOES feel better :)
 
Darn it. Something must be going around because I got hurt today,2. I thought I broke my ankle but after HOURS(waiting, xray and MRI) in the ER, they said I have a torn anterior talo-fibular ligament. Basically, a bad sprain or whatever. This sucks. Now, I gotta find a way to work out on one leg,lol.
Its all about making memories......

Though I do feel as though getting back to the gym would be a good thing for me to do. Was also contemplating on eating cleaner (go figure).

I totally wish I had my own gym at home as my anxiety is aweful. I swear to god everyone looks at me when I go there. It is horrible.

myway sorry about the sprain, how did you do that?? Maybe just focusing on your upper body until it heals... and quads, but lay off the cardio and dead weights, etc... until you feel better. I think I did an entire clen cycle just working upper body... I would get horrible cramps in my feet (hence WHY people should use taurine as well...) and I spent 1/2 my time trying to rub the cramps out of the arch of my foot. But.... I did get amazing upper body definition after a few weeks *chuckle*.

FINALLY....... my neck is 90% better.... no more pain medication although I am still taking it easy. Have the day off from work, I do hate nights... they throw me off. I am about to go clean the house, get 30 minutes of cardio in and then start getting into a 30 minutes pilates routine with light weight resistance balls. I haven't weighed myself, and don't plan to but I "feel" a bit skinnier.... maybe it's my imagination but after a few weeks I should know for sure. My son is the ring bearer in a wedding in Mid August... I haven't seen alot of this family in about a year and I was always the "fat kid".... they've seen me slim but not post baby slim.... and although I still have a long way to go I would really like to have dropped 10lbs by then.... I am aiming for 3lbs a week, a bit high but it's early in my weight loss so it shouldn't be "hard weight".
 
On friday I did some cardo, no pilates though. I had to run some errands and then in the afternoon went for a short hike with the family. It was one of the few nice days of the summer so we let the kids play at the park and soaked up some sun. Diez wanted to eat out so I had a grilled chicken salad with a honey line viniagrette dressing. It's SO HARD to diet living with a male bodybuilder. I kept my diet clean although I fell into a rut last night. I went to the fair and came back craving "something"... I ended up eating 2T peanut butter to hold me off until this morning. Then I woke up with another pulled muscle in my neck.... it's just not my month. Started on the muscle relaxers early.... I do plan on getting some more cardio in, although anything else is out of the question. This week I want to start incorporating ab excersises, push ups and medicine ball work into my routine. Need to go grocery shopping. I need to find a recipe for some good home made protein bars....

Even with Taurine you can get crazy cramps from Clen. I have had them at rather intimate moments. Nothing like running around naked due to a crazy cramp.
*Laugh away. I am sure I looked rediculous!
 
I do know what you mean.... I learned the art of not arching my foot AT ALL in any situation because I was prone to cramps in the arch of the bottom of my foot and at the top of my foot where it meets my leg. I would always wake up in the middle of the night because my toes were trying to run away from each other.
