My T.J experience

Just left TJ fresh off my first visit.
I have been in Cancun, and P.V.
My company's picnic was in San Diego this year so the
temptation was too strong.
Made a few mistakes please feel free to flame.
Mistake one Rented a car but left the papers in the hotel room since I got a speeding ticket on the 8 last night. California Highway Patrol WTF.
I was in TJ for 2 minutes (about 3 blocks) and got pulled over by the cops. (No seat belt) more bullshit.
Mistake 2 only took $50.00 in cash plus my amex cards. The cop was trying to shake me down for $100 US
for no seatbelt and no papers. STBM. He called 3 more cops and they were talking, I understood what they were saying and didn't like what I was hearing. After 20 mins they came back and LET ME GO. Do you believe that
shit. No fine nothing.
I parked and started shopping. Found Two Vets selling Anavar for $95 US. Cash only.
Mistake 3 only had Amex. I did find a Farmacia that took amex. Had to pay $130 each for the same shit.
500 Winny tabs were $325. in the vet.
Did meet some guys from LA who had no idea what they were looking for so I took them with me to the Vet.
They were happy. All in all a nice day but I could have scored the Anavar from my guy for about the same price.

There are so many things to "not do" that you did - I am surprised that it went THIS well.

Rental car - bad.

No papers - bad.

No seat belt - bad.

Did not have a TON of cash - bad. Trust me, always have a TON of cash in TJ. Place it in different places on you. Its far far far better to give some cop a few hundred that to go to one of their jails. Place the cash in different pockets and be able to grab "X" or "Y" dollars out on command. Works well with vendors too.

Credit cards - fortget it. Bad move.

Parking - you probably parked right in front of the vet/pharm right? BAD move, Always park so that you are NOT within line-of-site. So that anyone seeing you get out of the car cant see ya go into vet/pharm, and vice-versa.

100 anavar for $95? that aint bad.

You were lucky it went as well as it did.

Oh, and by the way, one of THE biuggest "red flags" for the inspectors at the border is a rental car, ESPECIALLY with only ONE guy in it.

Thanks for the feedback.
Rental was the only option.
Didn't want to walk or bus it.
Didn't park in front of the farmicia.
Parked in lot and walked around.
I cant believe how easy it was to cross back.
The first ramp to S.D was closed so I was detoured a
few miles to a crossing that was empty.
I waited in line for 10-15 mins.
The agent was cool.
I said Hi, told him that TJ was a hell hole.
He asked if it was my first time,
I told him it was.
I bought some purfume for my wife at the farm,
just in case, made a seperate purchase with a seperate
receipt.
Solid, I'll email you the info you requested.

Rental car - bad.. Not so. If you are out of state or out of town its ok

No papers - bad. Agreed. Very bad.

No seat belt - bad. Yeah-fucking Mexican cops, mexicans dont even have their kids in car seats-they hold the kids like loaves of bread in the front seat .

Credit cards - fortget it. Bad move. Yes-paper trails will come back to haunt you.

100 anavar for $95? that aint bad. 100 of the 5mg ones are only $130 though/

You were lucky it went as well as it did.

A rental is and of itself is not a big issue - its just another reason for them to pull ya over in TJ.

And another reason for the border agents to check you out.

Plus, I think TJ cops assume that a rental car is a true tourist, someone with far less experience down there, more apt to freak put if stopped ..... more apt to cough up cash.

They key is ....

LOW key. Dont stand out. Either in TJ or at the crossing.

My problem? I need to go down but cant drive my car - its a Porsche. Definatley a reason to get hassled - especially by TJ cops.
