My Shoulders Killin me Mid-Cycle

Nearing end of 4th week of my current cycle which you can see in my signature. I think the increased energy and strength I had around week 2 and week 3 caused me to work out too hard and now here near the end of week 4, my shoulders, mostly my right one, is killing me. It is hindering me in working out and I'm not sure what I should do. Any movement where I take my arms and raise them more than shoulder height causes them to hurt. Its like the tendons inside are torn up, like little daggers all poking me when I work out. Any ideas? Should I take a few days off?

Sounds like rotator cuff issues. How much do you stretch your shoulder before any work?

I'd say you should go by feel with your shoulders......I think negatives are more important for your shoulders than how much weight you are doing. Negatives strengthen the connective tissues and allow for better stability.

theres a guy at the gym i work out at and he only does half reps and his shoulders are torn the fuck up, he has the range of motion Ronnie Coleman does in redemption pushing 160's for db shoulder press, but the guy only goes up to 80's and he and his shoulders sound like they are going to pop out of socket, how he tolerates the pain i don't know.

SF,

Im having the same problem with my elbow right now. It seemed to heal up about three weeks ago so i started going heavy again, hurt it again the first day i did so. It didnt have enough time to heal. Im thinking of starting some tren (im off cycle right now) to give the injury the healing effects of protein synthesis which steroids offer. When i hurt my right shoulder while on last year i decided to keep going with light weight to try to work through it. This worked for me, but many times you are going to make the injury worse. You might want to give serious thought to start running your PCT and stop your cycle. Once your shoulder heals up completely start planning your next cycle pain free. I can tell you from my experience that a couple days off wont do jack. Good luck with what you decide.

I agree with this assessment if the shoulder is hindering him that much. It's really a judgement call for SF. I think anytime you have an injury you've got to stop and reassess things.....It depends on how heavy the cycle is and how much money you've got invested in it as to whether you should just finish it up and gravitate towards rehab, rehabing your shoulder while on cycle is not a bad idea, but it's your money and your body.....

Thanks bros for the insight. I'm going to take the weekend off and see how I feel on Monday's workout. I'll decide what to do then.

ok, here's a new take for you. I've experienced the same on dbol. I would retain enough water to where my right shoulder would hurt on pressing movements as well. I couldn't even put my hand behind my back. my right shoulder isn't exactly 100%, but on dbol, I was useless. I would recommend dropping it to see how you react, but if it's hurting, don't push it for now. go hit legs a little extra. Then again, I couldn't even hold on to the bar when squatting so that may not work for you either.good luck.
