My Quest to COMPETE - BEAT THE DISEASE!

I'd throw out the rice cakes.....The cereal should be good enough. Hell, i'd just slam down some dextrose powder instead of the cereal. I t will probably be easier on the stomach as well, albeit you are drinking extrea water with it.

Have you taken any recent pictures?

Maybe post some up for us to evaluate your progress on because at your height and bodyweight, I think you are still making the fat gains to be more than they really are. You have to remember that it is hard for others like ourselves,here on a discussion board, to give total accurate suggestions without seeing the progress first-hand in person or at least with some kind of picture to correlate with.

no pics...just when I was a rail and none uploaded.....sorry. I love the rice caes, bu maybe they are filling me up? Yesterday I had cereal and huge whey shake and a 3oz yam....pretty good.

Today I am back to 171ish........how do you really tell if it's fat gain or not? I mean my eyes might be deceiving. Pants still fit the same, etc....its prob water fat and muscle ( a little??)

all I got to say is my bench is WEAK as hell.....185x4-5 for my last sit was imbearable.
 
Damn.....I really messed up my routine and am going to eventually get on the modiefied 5x5 with Tone's help....help me out for today. I need to train today, as tomorrow is my off day and planned. Sun I did quads, monday was hams yesterday was chest and bis....all good sessions. Friday is back day HEAVY DEADS....I deadlifted str8leg on Mon so I can't switch back to today. However, my delts are a little fried today. Is there a good mass delt/tri rouitne out there where I can maybe press LAST and work mostly on width? Any help?

relax. if i remember correctly, you found 135 heavy not so long ago... now you're benching more than your own bodyweight which is a good sign considering where you just came from.
 
Jeff, I wouldn't worry about the bench, again, when you started this you said 135 was hell, last week, you said it felt like a joke, and 185 is a whole lot better than 135. That is a lot of progress.

If you did bench presses yesterday and your shoulders are fried, you could always make today an off day, and then shoulders tomorrow (or even back tomorrow and shoulders on Fri).
 
Need tomorrow to be off.....so i really need to hammar delts and tris........still benefitial to hit the pressing movement last, as a shocker.......

You know how I feel...when you want to grow the upper body, pressing is king. I don't think I've done a lateral raise in 10 years, lol. To get the workout in, yeah, you can press last, mostly for psychological reasons so you don't get down when your weights aren't where they should be due to being sore.

You can also do a new press and start training it progressively.....like, say, standing BTN Presses, either way it is a new lift, so who cares what weight you use today.....it'll be a way around getting depressed if you're weaker today.
 
Jkurz, you sound like a helluva guy. BUT, IMO I think your problem that you originally posted this thread about , you know, the eating problem or excersise nervosa (anorexia nervosa) whatever it is, won't be solved by the good advice of our good bros here. Everyone is trying to help and clearly a lot of time has been spent to do yourself some good and point in the right direction. But truly, I think, this is an issue that needs medical or proffessional attention. You need to go speak with a doctor or psychologist about this issue. Yes, it has to deal with your stomach and your eating, litterally, but it starts and manifests in your head , in your mind. That needs to be addressed by a proffessional and then treated by a proffessional. I applaud everyone here in their efforts to help you including Solidspine with his offer to go work out with you (which is a bold move, personally) , but in the end, I think there are underlying issues here that I think none of us are qualified to deal with. In any case, I wish you good luck with your mission and hopefully you can overcome all of the obstacles that are set in front of you.
And when you finally reach your goal, you can look back and say:
FUGETABOUTIT!
 
22lbs bro.........if i regress, mybe then ill seek help. all i want to do is be asseurred it isnt cancer or another disease.....why do i still feel like shit at 171lbs???

Well, good bro, who is going to give you the assurance that it isn't cancer or another disease?? NOT US ON HERE! Maybe a DOCTOR could help you with that. That's what I mean, why are you asking us? Unless of course, you're just using us as a form of entertainment.........which is not against the law or any rules on here, but sympathy will run out fast for you bro.

If you're for real, go to a doc.
