The Old Grump and I were thinking the same thing... She's very proud, I know that. We'd probably have to club her over the head to MAKE HER take a gift...

I am thinking a gift certificate maybe?.... so she can put the money wherever she sees best? Seems impersonal, but practicality wins out when money is tight, methinks.

I would get so angry when some of the guys here would give her a hard time. I know we dont always see eye to eye on her points of view but I can't imagine how bittersweet this must be for her. The next several weeks will be REALLY hard no doubt, with all the hormones, and self-doubt,then pressure for a job.... goodness.
