My New Plates question

I got a couple of 45s (marcy) places that have handles. They are a tad smaller then my other regular 45lb plates but feel the same weight. Is marcy plates usually a little smaller?

Are they thicker? Maybe they use a different types of metals.

Just put the on the outside of the bar.

Overall though it's a good idea to stick with one line of one brand of plates (meaning always use not only the same brand but the same model of plates when possible).

The marcy's are probably only good to within a few pounds.

just weighted them on my scale. They are 45lbs.....must be thicker metal

Put the larger ones on the inside and it will make it easier to load and unload the bar when it is on the ground as you will be able to slip the Marcy's on and off without them dragging on the floor.

they are fine, i have a couple marcy's and a set of other olympic weights also and now waiting on some from dicks sporting goods(129.99).
