My legal bills have exceeded $20,000

The expenses for preparing for my DUI trial have now exceeded $20,000. This is unusually high, but i want to use this experience to educate myself on the workings of teh criminal justice system.

So far, I am convinced that if you spend enough money, you can create reasonable doubt anyplace.

Maybe if you spend more, you can get the state to pay your legal bills if you're found not guilty.

lolololololol ahahahahaha 20 000$ to educate yourself ? wtf ? For this amount of money you could go to a college and get a degree in law.

Bro, as far as my knowledge goes, DUI is not a criminal charge in the US, otherwise if I'm wrong please correct me. But here in Canada IT IS a criminal charge and guess what ? People don't even spend 1/10 of that. 20k for a trial, are you sure it's not a homicide/capital crime you're convicted ?

Seriously, for $20,000 why not just pay the fine and do the time or whatever? That's alot of money.

true, for a first time offender he wouldn't even do time. Just a fine.
