My latest trip to Mexico. Gone bad

Having done this roughly 20 times before I thought this time would be just like all the others. Boy was I wrong. First thing I did when I crossed over was go to the Pharm to get some clomid and nolva. Did that with no problams, so off I went to the granaro. Got there ok, picked up a few bottles of test and deca and was on my way. On my way walking back to the border I was stoped by two cops. First thing they did was pull all my goods out of my shorts then they put me in the cop car. Asked me if I had a script for the tabs I had. I replied no. They then informed me that it was illegal to posess these without a script. At this time I had no more money on me what so ever. They asked for $400 to pay my fine but I didnt have it. Then I was on my way to jail. Spent about 4 hours in that hell ho! I thought this was the end for me! Ended up talking to a guard that was into bodybuilding. He was asking me for advice, so i gave him some. Then he asked me if I would like to make a phone call. I was like, hell yea! Conveniently there was a WU right there so having funds sent to pay my fine was easy. I must say it was a nightmare.

Dude, did you read the sticky above?!?

SAME F'N STORY

Crazy! The Customs agents are on the prowl. What set them off when you rolled by? Did they notice you're a big mo-fo?

Mexican police??
But in mexico you don't need a script for juice....fucking bastards!

Being a cop in MX is an entreprenuership. $100 can get you out of most anything before the situation goes south. Federalles are the ones you really have to watch for. That sucks man, sorry to hear it went the way it did.

What is the law in MX? Do any of you guys know for sure? Do you need a script or not? It's much too risky to try and smuggle on foot. You need a to be in a vehicle, and it needs to be someone who crosses on a regular basis. They shouldn't look like a BB either.

I know of several ppl that live in N.L., MX that cross the border on a daily basis and earn a living in Laredo, TX. These ppl are in-laws and I would never breach this subject with them, but that is just my $.02.

It takes some major nads to attempt it on foot!

I remember reading an article within the last year about an older guy, 60+, who lived near the border in TX. He went to MX to get his wife valiums, which she had a US prescription for, but they bought down there because of the difference in cost. He too was picked up by MX police and detained for not having a prescription on hand for his wife's medicines. These guys held him for like a month before he was released. And you know this old fart didn't look like a BB.

Moral to the story is I guess there is some laws regarding having a prescription for purchases. What it is, I don't know. It would appear logical that whatever laws exist are more strictly enforced in border towns where they get the highest volume of people looking to buy.

I've been down there on vacation six or eight times. Bringing small amounts back for personal use is a breeze coming through the airlines, even post 911. I probably wouldn't have the balls to try it on foot. And after reading the posts for the last couple of days, I think many others would say the same.

Chances are they were watching the pharmacy and saw you come out. They followed you and then grabbed you. I have a buddy who has done the mexico thing and he has a system for leaving the pharmacy. He scopes it out and looks for nearby hotels or office buildings. He then gets on his running shoes and gets the gear from the pharmacy. He leaves the pharmacy running. Ducks into to the lobby of the hotel and goes the back door and keeps running till he gets back to his hotel or car. Its not fool proof but it works for him. Getting through customs is another story.

Dude, i highly suggest you do some research or asking us before breaking foreign laws like that. You could've avoided all taht. Many of us are quite familiar with how it works down there and could've provided tips on how to LOWER the chance of you getting caught.

Tips such as:

1) Buy from a pharmacy 20 feet from the border. Then run right to the american side.
2) Buy late at night when cops are too busy chasing drunk folks
3) Get a mexican to buy it, then meet you somewhere else
4) If you speak spanish, pay a cop $20 to look the other way when you go inside and buy it.
5) etc. etc. etc.

So many ways you could've avoided all that. If you do't think smart, assess all possible scenarios and account for them -- you run the risk of getting caught. Simple as that. Don't assume anything. Your task is to think things over, plan properly and to perform actions the LOWER your chance of getting caught.

And for those who complain it's wrong to know how to break mexican law -- one must be reminded about the term "mexican law". Which is a misnomer cuz mexican "law" is actually made up more often that not by cops on the fly. With "laws" like that -- there is no accurate, possible way for foreigners to know beforehand what _is_ the law there. Therefore, breaking something that doesn't even exist isn't possible.

did u get to keep the drugs? LOL

Most of these comments make me want to hurl. Hey GoodFellow, did they wear gloves for your search like they did for mine? Those guys have some cold hands...

Steroids are illegal in MX. Period. It is possible that a script would get you by on the MX side ONLY, but forget about the U.S. side. I do NOT understand this, nor can I explain how it is that steroids are still being sold down there if they truly are illegal. This is a misconception that all of us have shared at one point. The only way I know ANY of this is because the info came from two U.S. customs and border patrol officers right after they fingered my sphinctor for gear. It is a scam down there. Read the damned sticky people. I do not want anyone going through what I did.

It is illegal to get them without a script. Its not enforced unless you look like someone who has money. I used to get my stuff there because it was so cheap. But I moved from Southern California so I can't make my trips down there anymore (not that I made that many). I wouldn't buy too much though and I would take everything out of the boxes. I had tight brief underwear and would tape bottles around my crotch. The pills I would put in small bags and tape those as well. And I would do that inside a room of the pharmacy. I guess its easier to do that if you yourself are Mexican. Also, if you live near Mexico, you can not only find a doctor who will give you a script, but he will keep your bottles for you and shoot you whenver you wanted to. That would require too many trips though.

crossing border is scary, you do need script in mexico to have it in mexico. look at the case of the man in nogales held there for a while but that he was ok because he had a U.S. script. for those that say crossing border on foot is nuts, i have experience in that area a few times and it is completely scary and stupid, especially if you are a walking pharmacy

Only steroid in Mexico that you need a script is Primobolan, for some reason was returned to a controlled substance category in Mexican pharmacies, If you bought any Valium, Ambien, Xanax spend $5 buck more to get prescription wich are usually sold also at the pharmacie, in any situation if a Mexican Law enforcement officer stops you, ask to call your consulate or the Human Rights rep, If you bought your stuff with prescription you should be fine..............
