my knees are fucked

i've had this reacurring knee problem for like the past 4 years. Every couple months or so, my right knee will pop out of place and i have to pop it back in. Afterwards its sore for like a week. Its definately not from lifting because i can still do squats, leg press, etc. without any pain.
This happen to anybody else?
I think i'm finally gonna see the doc, but i'm a little nervous cause i'm about to start a cycle
Any advice??
 
i should add that it pops out playing sports like football, basketball, wrestling
sucks cause i don't do these things anymore because i don't want to risk another injury
 
Go see a physio for a treatment and get them to show and recommend a stability training program for you. It should include some one-legged squats with little to no weight to help build up the stabilizing muscles. Another good idea would be to get a certified personal trainer to come with you and watch one of your leg work-outs to make sure you have proper form for the exercises that can put the knee at risk for injury.
