I'm glad you can look at it that way Martin. At work I 've seen familes with sick elder members and they refuse to make the poor person a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate). In one instance a code blue occoured and this extremely frail 85 lb 82 year old woman had to have CPR done to her. I was the one giving the compressions and I essentially crushed her sternum and you could hear the ribs breaking.
At the beginning of the shift she looked at me with a look that I will never forget. It was like she knew her time was up but didn't know how to say it. Sure enough,as I just described above it was her time.
Rest in eternal peace......
