My grandmother just died...

That sucks! I know the feeling.
Just remember how much joy she brought to your life.
She would want you to smile and laugh when you think about her!
Celebrate her life!!

QT, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my last, and favorite grandma a few years ago. I was very close to her and I know how you feel. Hope you are doing ok. Let us know if we can do anything for you.
 
Very sorry to hear that qt. I'm with Stickfigure, i can't even imagine to think of that day either. Grandparents are the greatest people. They love you as much, if not more than your parents, they spoil you ten times as much, and hardly ever punish you.
 
I just saw her on the long weekend in July. We had a big 85th Birthday party for her. She was so happy. My poor Mom it is her last parent her father passed a long time ago when I was a kid.

I'm so sorry to hear that D.. like a bunch of others on this thread, it reminds me of when I lost my grandma not too long ago, and it's very hard on the heart for awhile.. I have tears just thinking about it, I hope you're doing okay... :rose:

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, and if there's anything at all I can do..

My Grandparents have been gone for a long time, but I'll use their example for when I'm a grandpapa too.

I'm so sorry to hear it D :( She was a big part of who you are (25% of your DNA) you'll take that with you forever. You'll always miss her, but I'm sure she'd be proud of you in the years to come.
 
my condolences go out to you and your entire family during this hard time QT...i just had someone who was like a family member of mine die...i know just how you feel...it reassures me not to feel miserable and really sad when i just remember theyre going to a better place - it's their turns for God to give them wings...let them enter heaven and suffer no more :) - in the mean time i've been remembering memories of all the good times - laughs, parties, any kind of gathering...remember what she left you with...and keep it with you always...example: i learned from my grandmother: kind heartedness..will keep it always...good luck to you during your hardship QT...feel better soon!
 
im really sorry to hear that, qt. its terrible when things like that happen out of the blue, but then, its also good when people pass on without suffering, or getting depressed because they know that its coming. try to focus on the good things, that she lived a long happy life, surrounded by people that loved her. may we all be so lucky

Out of all the people that have died in my life, my grandmother was one of the hardest to deal with for some reason.......I feel for you qt.
 
:rose: Sorry to hear that. I still get teary eyed when I think about my favorite grandma and she's been gone at least 8 years. My condolences :rose:

My mom just called to let me know about the funeral etc. Told me that it was very peaceful passing. One of my Aunts found her she was sitting on a chair next to a drawer she had just finshed cleaning. My aunt said it looked as if she was just taking a nap.
