My goals have changed.....

I am 30 years old 6'0 319lbs, down from 369 in 3 months. I have been training on and off for years but have come to the realization lately that all the nagging injuries I associate with training heavy just aren't worth it anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? Last couple of weeks I have just been doing 135 for 3 sets of 10 in bench/squat/deadlift 2x per week. My main goal is to lose more weight(60 more lbs), and to remain healthy.
I volunteer at a dog shelter every morning and walk dogs for an hour and then 5x per week I go hard on the elliptical for 30 minutes. My diet is much improved, I drink a lot less, am on hrt for low test(200mg/week) and am kind of surprised I came to this realization. I imagine I am like a lot of people here who started young with bad training advice, poor form, and too much ego to stop and think that this poor form could fuck me up later in life. And then, when you finally do get a little knowledge, life gets in the way of consistent training. But I love the lifts plain and simple.
What could I do to maintain my musculature but not train super heavy? I don't want to go back to the world of tricep kickbacks and lat pulldowns. Will my desire to lift wane even more than it has? It is funny how your perspective changes when you find out you are going to be a dad. Thanks mostly for reading and if you have the time, sharing your thoughts.
