Did you do a pregnancy test anyway?
Not to scare you or anything, but some women still have period-like bleeding during pregnancy... Her period could've (and was probably) just been delayed by stress, diet, etc. but if there's any doubt left in your mind you should probably have her do a pregnancy test anyway.

Anyway, I hope you two are more careful from now on...!
