Big Mac Attack

I was up to 262 on a recent cycle-the biggest I have ever been. And my heart started to beat real hard while at home on the computer etc. A couple days later walking from the gym to eat 200 yards I felt tired and faint and could tell the output of my heart was low.

I went to a cardiologist and had some B.S. nuclear test done and it gave me a score of 41, 70+ being normal and low 30's for congestive heart failure patients. I was scared shitless to say the least. They put me on nitro right there on the spot and I felt better, not a good sign. They prescribed me Imdur,Cartia XT and nitro patches, and even a spray for acute attacks. Christ i'm 36 and in good shape i was thinking looking at all the fat asses and old people in the office. Why am I here? I check my LDL's all the time and they have awalys been perfect on or off.

I decided that prehaps a Angogram(sp?) the camera in the heart was a more accurate test. I took the meds prescribed for a week, my heart was fine that week but I had a headache the whole time.

My test came back perfect no blockages, no athletes thick heart, big artiers(sp?) and perfect valves. I told the doc about my cycles and training. Much to my suprise he said Keep doing what ever you have been doing you couldnt have a better heart. It is text book perfect.

BULLSHIT for once a doc says the juice wasnt the problem(emotional stress was) and I disagree, I'm down to 247 and feel great. I dont think I could handle the weight. I looked good but at what price. I'm not sure what the future has in store for me, yes I'll keep training(natural?) not sure.

Wow, bro, that is interesting but I'M THRILLED to hear you're fine!!!

I also agree that being very heavy is health detrimental in its own right, be it from fat OR muscle.

I'm not sure what your supplement intake is like, however, if you aren't already, get yourself on some good CoQ10. There's a patented product by Pure Encapsulations that has both CoQ10 and L-Carnitine Fumarate in one combination and I'm telling you it is excellent for heart function and health. Give it a try man.

Good luck to you brother! :)

out of curiosity, big mac how tall are you??

I'm 6'1'' and stay aroung 247 natural these days. Five years ago I was 225 natural and 238 while on. The first time i went over 250 3 years ago(I was 33) I could feel my heart working harder, but no problems. I think my age 36, and the weight just was too much for me.

My safest bet is to stay in the high 240's and just try to get as hard and symetrical as possible. I just need to change my priorities. I was awalys the bigger the better, sadly those days may be behind my for good. I'm still going to the gym the drive and passion inst gone. Just have new obsticals, all part of the game.

I would say make low-moderate intensity part of your steady diet.
At least 20minutes 3X weekly.

I was doing cardio right up to 258 and then I shot up to 262 with slin in a week. I did do cardio the day befor my heart acted up @ 260, 30 min treadmill. I have awalys done lots of cardio while on. I noticed the gear works a little better for me. As much as 6 hours per week, I tend to get lazy about cardio while off.

Moving foward I'm going to keep the cardio at 45 min x 4or5 days/week @ 135BPM. I think that will be good.

You also have to keep in mind - not only are you 262 lbs but you are 262 lbs with massive amounts of muscle which need to have blood pumped through them. Fat does not need that much blood or circulation as where muscle does.

This is why one must do cardio while bulking in order to help the heart keep up with the new demand.

Oh, and maybe lay off the big mac's. j/k

Anyway glad to see everything is fine.

I have to agree. Could just be the extra weight weighing you down. You just have to "climatize" your body to the added weight.

What kind of nuclear tests did they do?

Did they give you a holter moniter? ECG? or a echocardiography test?

I'm just curious what type of tests then ran to find this information out.

If I stop paying attention and get deep into overtraining (lifting, sprinting, sex) my heart rythem(sp?) goes all to hell. A few days off and I'm good to go. CNS just goes to shit.

I think it was probably due to the weight also. I think Nautica hit the nail on the head when he said that that is a lot of muscle to oxygenate. When your muscularity increases to that level your lungs don't necessarily make the same adaptations to be able to accommodate all that new beef. Hence, higher blood pressure, light headedness, sweating after walking 6 feet, etc.

You might want to think about Panic Attacks maybe. I experience these often about 6 yrs now. I take meds when needed. Dude, panic attacks for me are real and can make you feel like you are going to kill over in serious results. I know all about it and fucking hate it. It sucks to have these attacks.

Bro, I'm 5'9 and getting to about 255lbs and I'm having one hell of a time breathing, I can't sleep...can't do shit. I think I need to get down to 220 ASAP

When my weight starts to creep up the first place I notice it is with my sleep. As if the quality of my sleep is directional to my weight. After my tren/r-ala bout last year my weight went down lower than it's been in years: to about 220 as I recall. Although I felt like shit for other reasons (depression) the one thing I do remember is sleeping great. I mean sleeping better than I've slept in years.

But poor sleep has to be taxing to health in general and definitely heart health. I posted only recently that my goal is 255. I'm now going to change that goal to focus not on weight but rather on getting as lean as absolutely possible.

While this is not an advertisement for r-ala, as I recall when I was taking it I was indeed able to get lean and fast. I also think tren is a good AS for getting lean as it appeared to work well with the limited calorie diet I was on.

Maybe tren/prop/r-ala is worth trying again.

Please excuse my rambling here, I guess I'm just thinking out loud. This thread really has me thinking though.

I dont know the exact type of nuclear test. They injected some isotope in me ran a test, put me on the tread mill, injected me with more of the isotope and re-ran the teat. He said that the half-life of it was 50 hours.

Yes they did the EKG, and halter monitor for 24 hours and everything checked good.

The one thing to note is that the Doc said that my output number on the nuclear test may have been slightly lowered because of the thickness of my peck muscle.:) .

I'm down to 245 and feel much better.
