Just died.........1 hour ago. Think of you guys like family so I just needed to release some of the feelings. She was in a nursing home, miserable probably, but no one really knows since she had dimensia, alheizmers, etc......it's almost a relief, no more pain.......no more confusion.......sorry.

My grandfather had alzheimer's. It was painful to watch him suffer and lose his mind, he (and your grandma) are in better places now.

I never want to be put in a nursing home. I would rather just be taken out back and shot.

The worst thing about someone passing is that their suffering is over, but it is left behind for the rest of the family to deal with. Don't let your thoughts of her be the last times she spent in there when she was ill and in pain, and not remembering anything. Keep the good times in your memories and let go of the painful ones.
