I know most of my body isn't the prettiest thing to look at but i'm keen to get going. here is a few pick of me a few weeks ago before i did my first ever training at a gym. im pretty much a blank canvas at the moment and don't really know much about working out or nutrition. my mate moedank put me onto you guys so i am hoping i have a pleasant stay and learn lots. not sure how to put pics in but i'll give it a go.

looks like you have lots of work to do. what are your goals? short term and long term. you're a big guy all around by the looks of your stats

short term goals are just to increase my fitness as much as possible lowering my body fat to around 10-15% while increasing my muscle mass to keep my weight a constant 280lbs.
long term goals are to get into bodybuilding and to keep my body in as good a shape as possible.
don't know if this means anything but here are some of the weights i have been doing for the last week or 2. (all 3 sets of 10)

squats- 250lbs
bicep curl- 90lbs
closegrip bench press- 180lbs
incline dumbell press- 60lbs each arm
shoulderpress- 55lbs each arm
dumbell flies- 37.5lbs each arm
calf raises- 240lbs

these exercises are split into 2 days with a few more in between that i cant remember off the top of my head. i do 2 days on 1 day off.
each workout i also do 25min of cardio trying to keep heartrate to about 170bpm which is pretty easy as im not fit at all followed by 50 situps then stretches

Good luck, you came to the right place to get a ton of great advice about training, nutrition and anything else you may need.

If you are 6' 6" 280, I envy you. It looks like you have a lot to work with. We could easily make you a rippling muscle monster in no time.

What are your goals?

What is your current diet?

What about training?

These are all the things you need to consider when devising a program.

Good luck... keep at it and don't get discouraged.

I agree... Don't be shy. If you have any questions... fire away.

Good to have you here bro, you've made a great decision about wanting to get in shape. You have a great starting point. Just stay dedicated and don't get discouraged, it takes a while for training to become a habit and to see results. But if you stay with it you will without a doubt be HUGE! ;) later bro

no real updates, broke a bone in my left hand doing a close grip bench press of 220lbs and havn't been able to lift anything since so cardio has been my only release. 1 more week to go untill im ok to lift says the quack but i have to keep it bound tight!
