it will remove items that can be a threat but wont tell you if for sure some one is hacking

the last program can help you find out if someone has a remote connection to your computer, or if someone is knocking on your computer "doors"

(ports)

my pleasure guys

AVG Free Anti Virus

Spybot

and

basic Free Zone Alarm

those are "must haves"

do you feel zone alarm is better then the firewall I have on my windows xp?

hell yes, trust me

Zone alarm Free is a very good basic firwal

Zone Alarm Pro ( the pay version has alot more bells and whistles) very much worth it as a buy

does anyone know how to remove things from running at start up, I believe the file is msconfig but Im not certain how to remove things from that list and this thing takes forever to start up

start>run>msconfig>

on the general tab click selective startup

on the startup tab unselect all the shitty programs are messin' with your shit

next time you boot windows the msconfig file will pop up again because you choose selective startup, it's okay to leave it on selective startup permanently so choose the option for msconfig not to pop up every time when it asks

u think i gave u red karma?

or were u just trying to set me up the bomb

FOR THE RECORD I did not post this in the LADY section

I am pretty sure a MOD moved it there for your use

Negative on the mod -- it got copied around to a bunch of places by a Plat who should have known better.

Good selection. I like Avast a little more than AVG, but those are all solid choices.

There is a whole community grown up around Hijack This and they are good bro's -- but be sure to follow the directions about how to ask for a review. You don't want to waste these guys' time.

Digger can we official say it was not me since I recieved PMs that said I did

:)

I am not really bothered by it, by I don't like the air of guilt above my head
its a personal thing

Agree 100%, if they are offering their time (Which many times may take HOURS) you betta be on your best behavior

Sure thing, OMEGA. It's official -- it wasn't you, and it wasn't a mod.

HEY STEVE -- Next time you're tempted to copy someone else's work all over the site, step away from the keyboard.
