I had 3 kids, 3 epis and only 1 did not work. Ouch! My oldest was 6 lbs 11 oz, my second was 7 lbs 12 ozs and my 3rd was 7 lbs 6 ozs.

My 2nd son was 22 3/4 inches long at birth. Friggin monster!

if the epi doesn't work, the anaesthesiologist is going to be in more pain than me, cause I'm going to grab his balls and SQUEEZE. lol

Can you say episiotomy

I refuse to get an episiotomy. I have read up and they say the being cut all the way through with scissors into deep tissues and muscle is FAR WORSE than the potential superficial tearing that happens naturally. They say the tearing is only in the very top layers of tissue and happens on more natural anatomical lines.

I had to have 2 of them!!! But with the pain you'll be feeling, the needle is nothing like people will try to scare you about. It was very much welcomed...both of them.

BTW, I had a huge baby myself. I am 5'3 and at the time weighed 115lbs before I got prego....my son weighed 9lbs 2 1/2 ounces!! 21 1/2 long!!!

My dr was in shocked and kept saying omg, omg.....I thought something was terribly wrong...she holds him up and said this is at least a 9 pounder! lol
That explained why he wasn't moving much that last month, I kept going in for test and all seemed okay, she said that was the problem...she estimated him to be about 7lbs and he was just to damn big to move around anymore.

Then your a bigger girl than I am because that shit hurt! The contractions were a killer.....I don't know if they were stronger or not because labor was induced or not.
