Critique my current 5x5
In the 4th week of a 5x5 and thought I'd post to get some feedback. I ran 2 cycles of 5x5 last year, but have been doing an HST-style workout since then.
Stats: 28, 220lbs, ~15%bf
Goals: Add some strength to the mass HST helped me put on
Workouts so far:
Monday (weeks 1-4)
Squat 5x5 275, 285, 295, 305
Bench 1x5 245, 255, 265, 275
Row 1x5 155, 165, 175, 185
Abs
15min Cardio: Devils Complexs (6sets, 6reps, 6compound exercises)
Tuesday (weeks 1-3)
Cardio: 15min stairclimber, 30min HIIT elliptical
Wednesday (weeks 1-3)
Squat 5x5 235, 245, 255
Dead 5x5 275, 285, 295
Military 5x5 125, 135, 145
Pullups 5x5 120, 130, 140
Cardio: 15min incline walk 15% 3mph
Thursday (weeks 1-3)
Cardio: 15min stairclimber, 30min HIIT elliptical
Friday (weeks 1-3)
Squat 1x5 295, 305, 315
Bench 5x5 235, 245, 255
Row 5x5 145, 155, 165
Saturday/Sunday - rest
So far I think the weights have been pretty good - this week is going to be a real struggle, which I think is right for week 4. I know my deadlifts suck...hopefully they'll ramp quicker than everything else.
