My computer is running slow

any computer geeks in here know where i can use one of those sites to clean up and scan my computer. I use to use one with my mac for free. I have a toshiba now. I'd prefer free of course

do NOT use one of those sites, they have the ability to wipe off things even from your registry and then you're really fucked, instead get spybot search and destroy, install it, reboot and enter in safe mode, then run it in safe mode.

Also go to Start > Run > Msconfig > under General select selective startup, under services check the hide microsoft services box and then look at what's left and remove all the shit you really dont need running 24/7, then go to startup and uncheck all that stupid shit that loads when you turn on your computer, all that crap slow it down, do you really need adobe and widgets running on startup? No, you dont, then apply and reboot, once rebooted ask to not show you again and have a nice life.

Macs aren't a panacea. I had to reboot mine a couple weeks ago when it installed the new Mac OSX Lion OS. It sucked. I had to waste a solid two minutes waiting for it to restart.
