I built this for wokr but no longer need it so i use it for my home pc. I have a quad core opteron on a tyan 2895 . I have 8 gigs of cosair ecc memory. I run 2 ati 1900xt in crossfire mode. I have 2 raptors 150 gig and four 500 gig western digital drives for my porn. All water cooled. For sound

Cool, I have 2 machines at home, but my main one is a 4600+ with 2GB pc6400 DDR2 with 3 250GB Sata 2 drives in a raid 5 with a 7600 GT, DVD Rom and a DL 18x DVD burner. :verygood:

In January 2002 my processor was Intel's next-to-top-of-the-line P4. (I don't think they had P4 Xeons yet then)

Everyone has their needs, If it does what you need from it, its as fast as it needs to be. Had a friend say once she needed a faster computer when all she did was e-mail and chat. I called her on it and she said it slows down her typing. I asked her to call me when she could type 1200 characters a second and I'd help her upgrade her 386.

My mom has an old Dell XPS that in the day was a screaming meanie that hardcore gamers would have coveted for its Geforce 256, pIII 800 and 256M of 800 mhz RIMM memory. She plays freecell on it.
