my cat has an eating prob.

I caught him the other day picking his food out w/ his claw and trying to eat it from his paw. WTF? He now does it all the time. He will not eat from the bowl. Piece by piece, he'll paw it out and usually drop it then eat it off the floor. Though sometimes he'll eat it right from his paw. Anyone else have cats w/ wierd habits.

My sister has a 20 pound fat ass cat named Andy. He's SO sweet. He lays down next to his food bowl and eats laying down with his face sideways in the food dish. lol

Molly, the one in my avatar, will not eat a snack if you place it in her bowl, but if you hand it to her she will gobble it down. My other one, little bear, will hold a beggin strip between her paws like she's holding it in her hands, and eat it.


Yes, my dogs are spoiled, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My cat has done this almost since she was a kitten. It's just a prissy thing. Do you have another cat also? maybe a more dominant one than this cat? My cat will sometimes pick it up with her paw, drop it in her water bowl, then fish it out and eat it. Maybe she's saying she wants the foot softened up

My mother's cats have female cats they go see during the day. Well, one of them. The other hangs out with the dog next door. She lets them out (sometimes all day when she goes to work) and they come back when they are ready.

Oh, they don't like leftovers. They want fresh food every day.

My dog takes a mouthfull of food and wanders to a different part of the house to eat it. He throws it all over the floor and then walks around eating it. I hate when he eats on the couch though because the kibble always goes down between the cushions and he gets the leather on the couch all wet with spit from trying to get the food.

My dogs do that also. I think that since they are so spoiled and consider themselves part of the family, that they eat right next to where we eat on the couch or next to the coffee table. It's never dropped on the tile though. Only places are the rug, couch, or chase(sp?)
