Shes lived alone with my dad for most of her life, as far as I know he's never been mean to her, he pets her but she couldnt sit on his lap because of his allergies. My sister and I would come over and visit on the weekends...now I live with my dad and I try to be friendly to my cat but she is a total bitch. I pick her up and try to pet her and all she does is scramble away. She snaps at me often just for petting her and basically whines all the time....its pissing me off because I like cats but mine is a bitch.

I don't really like cats, but they seem to love me. For awhile I thought I was special, then I saw a special on the Discovery channel and it says that how they behave around humans deals with how they are treated as kittens and when they are young. If they are held and petted a lot when they are young, then they will seek that out when they are older - be good with people.
but if they aren't given that attention, then they will act like... well, like the way your cat sounds.

you could always get it stoned with catnip all the time.

It's too late. Animals reflect the environment and people they are raised in. She was raised without affection and to be alone now you have an unaffectionate loner of a cat. Imagine that....lol

I think also the fact that I used to pet it alot when I was sweating out LSD in eighth grade might explain why it goes fucking crazy out of the blue and starts jumping at nothing and running at full speed.

Some cats are just strange. My daughter got one as a kitten, she carried it everywhere, it slept with her...basically babied the shit out of it. My husband and I were both nice to it, petted it and stuff. Now it is grown and doesn't want anything to do with anyone other than our daughter and it wants her to hold it all the time. There are two exceptions to this behavior, it waits for my husband to finish showering at night because he always scratches its back on his way down the hall and it lets me pet it when I wake my daughter up in the morning but other than thoser two times we can't get near it.

Because cats are like women. The less attention you give, the more they want.

:D

My cat is the coolest cat ever! He is the most chilled out and friendly cat you will ever see. I cant let him go outside because someone would steal him! He smokes kind bud and sleeps on the bathroom sink(he prefers if it is full), like he is at club med or something. "Hey, bring me a coloda drink would you human!". Get yourself a Maine Coon and you will have a very friendly cat. Now if he was just red....

Check him out:

I don't have any cats, but they seem to like me. Whenever I go over to someone's place who has a cat, they will tend to come over to me. I think they know that I am a soft touch. :kitty:

I have a cat named heim that acts like a dog. He looks like BigRed's cat. I usually don't like cats, but this one is cool because he thinks he is a dog.

My midget cat in my avatar is wayyyyyyy cool. He won't leave my side pretty much. Very affectionate like a dog without the slobbering and the smell. Lets you dance him around, do whatever, and is just happy to be played with. Ultra cool kitty even if he is height deprived.

My cat took one look at your cat in your avatar and said "Freak. Keep it in the circus!" LOL. He is cute though, even with is midget legs.:D

My cat is a real drama queen.

She hissss just because she can't make a high jum into a winder. The very next second she'll be puring again.

Even says "holy shit your can't is a bitch." But I know it's all a big show.

CATS AND DOGS

What is a CAT?

1. Cats do what they want.
2. They rarely listen to you.
3. They're totally unpredictable.
4. When you want to play, they want to be alone.
5. When you want to be alone, they want to play.
6. They expect you to cater to their every whim.
7. They're moody.
8. They leave hair everywhere.

CONCLUSION: They're tiny women in little fur coats.

What is a DOG?

1. Dogs spend all day sprawled on the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house.
2. They can hear a package of food opening half a block away, but don't hear you when you're in the same room.
3. They can look dumb and lovable all at the same time.
4. They growl when they are not happy.
5. When you want to play, they want to play.
6. When you want to be alone, they want to play.
7. They leave their toys everywhere.
8. They do disgusting things with their mouths and then try to give you a kiss!
9. They go right to your crotch as soon as they meet you.

CONCLUSION: They're tiny men in little fur coats.

my cat used to get tore up on catnip. I think it is similar people getting high on joints. I used to stuff it in some old socks of mine and one day he ate a big hold in the sock and ate the cat nip and staggered around all day long running into walls meowing. Funny shit.
