My CAR got STOLEN

Hi!

Unbelievably, my luxurious 1999 Saturn SC2 was stolen this weekend. It was parked next to my Lexus GS300. Would have been really bad if they took that.

It was recovered - no one has been apprehended. The CDs are gone and the thing was ransacked. There was some minor damage, and it looked like it had been off-roaded a little bit.

On top of that, the fingerprint dust gets all over everything.

I have another car - it's not the end of the world, but what a huge pain in the ass.

Y-Lifter...yes it was my DUI car. Also my accdient car, my "drive through a fence car", my "been to 40 states car", my "too small to have sex in but tried anyway" car...and all that shit. In December it will become my "gave it to my younger brother" car.

And you opted for the puny 6 cylinder version of the best car Lexus has ever put out????

The good news is when you get the insurance check for your Saturn......come up to St. Louis, and I'll give ya a good deal on a trade in for a GS 430.....I have a silver and black one on my lot right now... ........even if it's not wrecked you should be able to fight your insurance company to replace it.......

I take more shit from guys because I buy smaller engines. Wow......how friggin impressive is it to buy a gas guzzling engine to go 60% as fast as it is capable of?

I got over the large engine syndrome in high school. Others apparently never do.

Actually T-Boy....the GS 300 and the GS 400 or 430 get almost exactly the same gas mileage......Japanese cars...go figure.. why only 60% of what it is capable of.....overall top speeds are not too far apart.....performance around town......now that's night and day......what exactly is large engine syndrome???....??? Sounds terrible.......some people are into cars.....some aren't.......obviously you aren't ....thanks for your input though... obviously if Matt will shell out 40K+ then he is somewhat of a car guy......

That sucks Matt. Will insurance cover the CD's and the damage? Finally paying 20 dollars for a cd will pay off.

What happened is not funny, but I can see some guy stealing a car, then ramsacking the car while taking the CD's says "You know I just didn't like this album...not even enough to take it for free. I'll let the guy have it back".

You need all the motor you can get.

There is no greater feeeling on the road knowing that you could easily blow by/pass any car, without worry.

It sucks having a slow car on a two lane highway, when your stuck behind 2 semis going 45. And your car is too slow to pass.

That sux matt. If you had full coverage you should be able to claim all those cds. And make sure you take it to a shop to get checked out for damage from the 4 wheeling trip you car took.

Fonz - the theft deterrent system is the Saturn emblem on the hood.

Pitbullstl - the GS300 has a V8 upgrade...I test drove the V6 and the V8 - teh V6 is pretty powerful, and the 8 was the kind of engine that gets people (like me) into trouble. As I am sure you know, the GS300 with the V6 is pretty fast.

I'll upgrade when I come in for the SC430.
