He's been out of control drinking since he was 14. He just picked it up so easily. He's gotten into trouble with it before, but always got off. So, he got pulled over last night, passed the field sobriety test with flying colors, and blew a .26. Not good for him. So he calls this morning telling me it's the cop's fault, that he passed the test and should be ok to drive, it will get reduced to disorderly conduct, etc. He thinks it will only cost him $1500 and higher insurance for a couple of years. He can drink a fifth and be ready to go out and really drink. He isn't going to tell anyone else in the family, he doesn't think he needs help, my stepdad has offered to pay his tuition if he wants to go back to school. He got accepted to Drexel and may blow it if he doesn't man up and pull his head out of his ass. It's frustrating to see this and not be able to do anything but be ready to support him if/ when he's ready to work on it. He'll be dead in a few years if he keeps going like this.
