My before and afters from South Beach Diet

Hi,
I am new here. I am an RN who tests products online and takes before and afters of them www.rnreviews.com Anyway, I had gone from a size 15 to a size 5 and have done it with South Beach. If anyone wants the south beach diet in a simple way to understand, you can email me and I'll send it to you free. My email is on my website address above. I think this is a very healthy diet, and I've been able to maintain on it and give it to many of my patients.

What do you all do to lose weight?

I have a son who is very much into wanting a muscular build, and we both hope to get a lot of helpful info from this site.

Thanks!

Is there a catch here?

If not, welcome to the board.

As far as what we do, it varies greatly from individual to individual... some like Ketogenic diets, some (like me) like more balanced approaches... I think the only common factor is that we all (at least I hope so) train and do cardio while losing weight (the correct term is losing fat, you just don't want to lose weight)

Is this spam?

sounds like someone is trying to advertise freely on EF!!

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. People is innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around

No, this is not spam. I do follow the south beach diet regularly and used to be mildly obese. My son wants to be muscular, but not with unhealthy methods. He is 5'9. We have a total gym machine. Does anyone think those may really help?

Great web site and great weight change results! ::applause::

I lost a ton of stored water and fat eliminating all simple, fast sugars and upping my intake of colorful veggies and grilled meat/fish/fowl. I went from 230 to 169 over 6-9 months. This included no fruit and no grain products.

This was too much and I've built myself back up to 205.

There is a lot of info on this BB. There are fitness people and body building trophy winners ... natural and with steroids.

If your son is younger, he would follow a natural routine of basic body building exercises, some aerobics, a low fat-low sugar diet and plenty of rest.

The home gym machine along with some dumb bells is a fine start.

He is going to need some role models. I'd recommend:
Steve Reeves
John Hansen

Just Google them. You'll find books and background info.

Interesting site, but you need to optimize your photos and check your HTML for browser compatibility. The pictures took an eternity for me to load, and I'm on DSL. Also, I use Firefox and there were some aesthetic issues.
