my back sucks

That's a shitty angle, but it looks like you have some decent mass on there. I have come to believe that to build a big strong back, all you need is:

Deadlifts
Barbell Rows
Chins.

Feel free to mix it up every once in a while to prevent boredom. But, seriously, 90% of the time, that is my back routine.
 
Your back looks pretty thick. Ohashi is right on IMO. The more V-tapered you get, the more your back thickness and width will show. Deadlifts, chins and rows are the best like Zero said. Cant fail with that formula!! Unless you fuck up your back really bad haha. Keep at it!
 
thanks for the replies everyone. Right now only thing i can do is chins and rows.....but hope to get a rubber mat sometime in the future
