MUTHA $&*#$ - Joint Pains...

Suspension

New member
What the hell? Im on week 2 of my cycle (omna/fina/dbol) and my joints are already hurting. Im taking MSM 3 grams before and after workout. To think I was actually going to add winny toward the end...I DONT THINK SO!

Anyway...someone posted a Q about celebrx for joint pain. Will this stuff help out? For the time being, im going to increase the MSM to 4.5g before and after workouts, then 3g before bed.

glucosimine 6 times a day

yes...a combo of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate will work wonders...in addition, you can increase your sodium intake along w/ additionnal H2O to maximize a comfortable amount of water retention(you can easily get rid of this by discontinuing the sodium),which in turn will help you lift heavy and keep your joints from feeling like an 80 yr old's.GOOD LUCK...--fyi

thanks guys..

however, ive tried glucosamine/chond in high amounts...MSM has provided much better pain relief, not to mention its kicked in a LOT faster than glucosamine.

Hmmm...maybe i should use both MSM/Gluc?

A form of sulfer. Works kinda like glucosame, only its a lot more effective. Its also a natural pain killer/anti-inflammitory. Some people use it for allegies, and a host of other things.

Thanks, dude.
That's on my shopping list for tonight.

I've always supplemented with MSM, glucosamine and chondroiton. They seem to help a little bit.

What works great for me is a little water retention during a cycle. When I'm holding some water, all my joint pain goes away.

The problem

that I personally find with any anti-inflammatory is after stopping or cutting back my doseage I get a rebound joint pain, so I have cut out anti-inflams altogether and just use gluco. and ch combo. but that is just me..

I really need something. I don't know if it's the juice or I'm working too hard but my joints fucking KILL on-cycle. I'll put up with post cycle pains but I have to do something so I don't have to take a week or two off in the meat of my cycle.

I just called the local Musclemag store, they didn't have it. GNC does but I hate buying anything there...

when you are cycling you get much stronger and put lots fo stress on your joints that they are not acustom to, i load up on ibuprofin, doc gave 600mg ib's after surgery and i still have some scripts left.

just my .02$

Your right, GNC sucks...and is WAY to expensive. If you have a vitamin world in your area, i recommend you get it there...buy the 1500mg tablets.

i forgot to mention that MSM helps with recovery, and allows you to push yourself a few more reps in the gym...espeically if taken before/after workouts...

You can get it in 1g capsules at GNC. That's what I'm using. I've been using 3g over the day, but am going to up it as my joints still hurt a bit...well, my wrist does anyway.

You initially asked about Celebrex, and it works great for me. If I'm remembering correctly, it's a COX-2 inhibitor prescribed for arthritic pain, and it attacks the inflammation from a bit different angle than most other NSAIDS. It's supposed to be more specific for joints as opposed to general inflammation. It's in the same class as Vioxx, I think. I've been told not to take any other NSAIDS while on it, but I think that's only because they can be too harsh on your gut. I also add glucosamine/chondroiten, but they take a few weeks before I notice anything. Maybe if you start taking both now, the Celebrex can knock down the inflammation enough for the glucosamine to take hold, then ween off the Celebrex as the glucosamine kicks in. I don't know anything about MSM except what I've read here, but I'm gonna try it. My joints suck. Good luck, I hope this is helpful.
