I agree they would of been better if they still were the way they were in the 80's, but no now i think SlipKnot are better.

80's Metallica = Better than SlipKnot

Post 80's Metallica = Not as good as SlipKnot

I really liked Metallica before, but after that napster thing, i lost a good amount of respect for them. And now they sued someone for making wheel covers or something...And they suck. Anyway, one reason not alot of Maggots posted here is because not alot of them knew it even was here. As for my musical tastes.....Slipknot, Kittie, Slayer, and Stabbing Westward (Darkest Days, of course), all those bands are better then metallica, in my opinion.

Oh man Slayer, i just bought a live cd of theirs, 'a decade of agression' or something, it's a double cd and it fucking goes off.

Now THEIR guitar playing is FAST!!!

Na, the 90's metallica stuff is awesome too.....You can't call any slipknot album better than the balck album.....a 90's album.

I think the later stuff metallica have done is class too.
I like all the 90's stuff, and i dont know why loads of you slag off load and re-load..there are some class tracks on there:

fuel
the house that jack built
untill it sleeps
carpe deim baby
unforgiven 2

I personally think that the strongest metallica material has come from the black album, most of their songs that they are know from are on there:

Enter sandman
sad but true
the unforgiven
wherever i may roam
nothing else matters

Cleary the above material is far better than anything slipknot have ever done.
Just look at the black album songs, surely you can't be serious in thinking slipknot have better material than these legendary tracks????

Any body who is more than a cunt without ears can tell you how class that album was, is and forever will be, no matter what you say about post 80's metallica stuff, the black album is one of the best metal albums ever released.

Oh yeah i forgot the Black Album.

No SlipKnot is not better than Metallica on the Black Album.

But load and re-load sucks balls. S&M was disapointing, about the only song on that that sounded good was nothing else matters. The rest just sounded stupid, i mean they fucking RUINED one for gods sake.

Meh, i suppose the older fans might appreciate the orchestra more but it just ruined it for me. I'm a fucking HARDCORE metal fan, theres only so much pussy shit i can take.

I just listened to the black album again, i dont like it, 'Iowa' by SlipKnot is better, much better.
