Muscular Hypertrophy & Hyperplasia

I have been reading about HST programs and some of the science behind the basis for them. I have a few questions that someone could maybe help me out with....

How would your body react if you worked each muscle on consecutive days? Example... a whole body workout using basic compound movements with one working set per muscle group and a rep range of 10-15 reps to failure (or just shy of failure) 3-4 days with equal days off. then on full week off every 4 weeks.

I was thinking of trying a workout where I use a whole body workout using 10-15 reps to failure or near failure going... 4 on 4 off, 3 on 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 1 on 1 off (7-10 days off.....repeat)

I just don't know if it will be too hard on my body.... and i'm wondering if I would spur growth or just damage my immune system and cause all kinds of catabolic hormonal responses in the body.

I have no problem with the standard HST set-up, but I prefer a higher intensity program like DC's.

My best progress in terms of muscle and strength gains was in my teens when I started using a Mike Menzter type workout with very high intensity and very long rest periods between training days. Since then my body has not grown off that style training. I then added volume and cut back on the intensity and found it to be productive. When I stopped growing off that I tried Menzter style again and finally went to performance enhancing drugs to make gains. I am willing to try something different in an effort to unlock potential growth naturally

mmkay. Well.

you can do consecutive day training -- people have done it -- but the general conclusion is: easy to overtrain, not a huge boon to gains. It would be easier for you and probably almost as effective to just do higher volume less frequently

if you like a program that's HST but more intense, just try doing more volume. Like right now I do 16-20 sets in a HST session (compared to 9-10 when I started) and I'm making better gains and enjoying the extra challenge. I'll always do some minimum number of sets for each exercise, but if i feel like pushing it I'll bang out some more.
