Saw a good neurologist today. That's what she said (BFS). Going to run a few tests for other rare stuff, but without functional decrements and strength loss, she said BFS was probably it. We kicked around the idea of looking for the SOD gene defect in case my uncle's case was familial, but having the gene doesn't mean you'll develop ALS and not having the defect doesn't mean you won't, so I said fuck it. I've read the material on BFS and it sounds alot like what I have. Regardless, the whole ALS issue really puts life's problems into perspective. That being, life's problems are not problems compared to having ALS. You can lose just about everything else in life and survive, get ALS and you're fucked.
