Muscle spot reduction

New member
Allright, you know how if you do heavy cardio they say that you lose muscle along with fat, Well my question is do you lose muscle only in the area's that are being trained heavily? For instance if I Run alot every day to lose fat, will I lose more strength/muscle in my legs than in the rest of my body or does the muscle breakdown happen evenly throughout the body like burning fat does...???

Thanks for any help

RUNNING is fast and I think that you mean jogging?

Perhaps the muscles will slim out a bit because you are using them for predominantly red fibre activity, but unless they are HUGE bodybuilder legs then you should not notice too much reduction in the muscle size.

SPOT REDUCTION OF FAT IS BULLSHIT!!!

Yeah I know.. We would have some funky wierd looking people in this world if it were true.. People with nice perfect abs but fat asses with cellulite and flubbery under arms... I was just wondering if muscles get broken down evenly throughout the body like fat is
